One product review : benefit girl meet pearls

The product I’m going to talk about today is a highlighter I found in a benefit kit; I’ve heard wonders about it, it’s been praised as one of the best highlighter ever and I absolutely wanted to try it! I’ve got a mini size which is big enough to make my own opinion; I’ve been using it a lot lately , and now I’m ready to share my opinion with you! As you probably guessed , we’re going to talk about Benefit girl meet pearls!

Let’s see how it’s described: a soft, golden pink , liquid pearl highlighter. For a detectable glow, fancy up with this golden pink liquid pearl luminizer. Its sheer, light reflecting formula in a fresh, raspberry scent glides on smoothly for a breathtakingly radiant complexion.  Wear it alone for a youthful dewy glow, or over makeup for lustruous “pearlessence”. Price is 30$  -  32.90 €  for 0.4 oz- 12 ml.

What I like: I like its texture, creamy and not too watery: you’ll need a pea size amount of product for both cheeks and that means it will last really long . It goes on your skin smoothly, you can apply it with your fingers or with a brush and either way it’s not patchy nor streaky. It takes few seconds to get absorbed into your skin, it’s good for a very quick look or to just give a healthy glow to your face. It smells really good, it’s a nice summery fruity scent. It’s a versatile product, I’ve tried it on top of foundation, on bare skin and on top of face powder, and it performs well any way you prefer to apply it! It is longlasting, it won’t let you down during the day, even on hot summer days!

What I don’t like: to tell you the truth I don’t get the hype about it: in my experience it doesn’t show much on my skin, which is very fair, and I’m afraid it will completely vanish on darker skin tones, it’s really light and even when light hits it it’s barely noticeable. It’s not a bad product but to me it’s not worth 30 $. If you’re looking for a very subtle highlighter than this is the one for you, but to me the difference between putting it on and not putting it on is barely noticeable, so I wonder why I should spend so much for an almost invisible product?

My verdict : I won’t repurchase it, I’m glad I got the chance to try the minisize and I’m glad it came with a kit that has got many interesting products I love and I already purchased in full size; this one is just not the right  highlighter for me.

Oggi vi voglio parlare di un illuminante che ho trovato in un kit di Benefit; ne avevo sentito parlare benissimo, veniva descritto come uno dei migliori illuminanti in circolazione, e naturalmente mi sono incuriosita ! io ho una taglia mini, che contiene comunque parecchio prodotto e che dà la possibilità di farsi un’idea chiara e di capire se ci piace oppure no; lo sto usando molto spesso ultimamente, e sono pronta a condividere la mia opinione con voi! Come avrete già indovinato, parleremo del girl meets pearl di Benefit!

Vediamo come viene descritto: per un’entrata da diva! Con i suoi pigmenti luce riflettenti, questa lussuosa lozione madreperlata illumina il viso per non farti passare inosservata! Girl meet pearls ti farà brillare tutto il giorno come una stella! Prezzo di  30$  -  32.90 €  per 0.4 oz- 12 ml.

Cosa mi piace: mi piace la sua consistenza, cremosa e non troppo liquida: serve una piccolissima quantità di prodotto per entrambe le guance,  e questo vuol dire che una confezione vi durerà molto a lungo. Si stende con estrema facilità sulla pelle, lo si può applicare sia con le dita sia con un pennello, e in  entrambi i casi non lascia striature e risulta omogeneo. Si assorbe in pochi secondi, è l’ideale per quando si ha poco tempo e si vuole illuminare leggermente il volto, dandogli quell’aspetto “sano” che già da solo fa la differenza. L’odore è piacevole, è molto estivo e fruttato. Lo trovo un prodotto versatile, l’ho provato sia sulla pelle pulita che sopra al fondotinta, che sopra la cipria, e si è sempre comportato benissimo, non forma macchie e si stende velocemente. Dura a lungo, tutto il giorno, anche in estate!

Cosa non mi piace: ad essere sincera non capisco tutto l’entusiasmo per questo illuminante: sulla mia pelle praticamente non si vede, ed io sono molto chiara, quindi immagino che su carnagioni più scure scompaia immediatamente; anche quando viene colpito dalla luce si nota a malapena. Il prodotto in sé è buono, ma secondo me non vale 30 euro, perché praticamente metterlo o non metterlo è la stessa cosa. Se cercate un illuminante molto ma molto discreto potrebbe fare al caso vostro, ma io onestamente non vedo perché dovrei spendere così tanto per un prodotto che non si vede.

Il mio verdetto: non lo ricomprerò, sono contenta di averlo provato nella confezione mini e sono contenta che facesse parte di un kit che conteneva prodotti molto interessanti, alcuni dei quali sono stati già acquistati in full size, ma questo non è proprio l’illuminante che fa per me.
