One product review: Coastal Scents eclipse concealer palette

Today I’m going to talk to you about a concealer palette I bought from Coastal Scents that is, for those of you who don’t know that, a low cost brand that offers you so many different products, from eye shadow palettes to lipsticks palettes, from glitters to pigments , brushes and much more! I purchased on their online shop several times and I still do, I really love some of their products and I think they are perfect for those who are new to makeup and need to build up their kit : you’ll get many colors at a very affordable price , I suggest you to check it out!

I used the camouflage concealer palette, I actually repurchased at least three times, but last time I was shopping I decided to try the eclipse palette, just for a change. It looks pretty similar to the camouflage one but it’s got 15 shades instead of 10 and the price is the same, that’s why I went for it!

Let’s see how it’s described: Your Fairy Godmother called and said you “wished for a flawless complexion.” We got you covered—literally. Neutralize under eye halos, conceal blemishes, banish breakouts, and reduce redness with fifteen cream-based shades. Designed to conceal, highlight, and custom blend to your skin tone, watch your flaws magically disappear. Think of this palette as your Fairy Godmother for a Flawless Face! 

-The mint green shade counteracts redness or pinkness caused from rosacea, blemishes, or capillaries around the nose and cheek areas.

-The pale yellow shade conceals black, blue, or purple imperfections such as bruises or unsightly under eye halos.

-The lavender shade neutralizes areas with excessive yellow pigmentation and corrects olive skin tones.

-The white/silver shade can be used as a highlighter to add sheen to cheekbones, nose, eyes, etc. Price is 14.95 $ but there are often discounts .

What I like : I appreciate the variety of shades, from light ones to very dark ones, with this palette I can highlight and contour , I can mix colors to customize them and create the perfect shade for any skin tone and any kind of makeup I want to achieve. the camouflage palette’s pans are bigger but with this one you’ll get a silvery highlighter and corrective shades like green and lilac, so I guess we’re even.

The consistency is just like camouflage palette’s concealers, they are very creamy and thick, I first warm them with my finger to soften them a bit , and that allows me to work with them easily. They might be a bit too thick if you don’t do that. They provide a good coverage, and they are buildable. I love using the beauty blender with these products because it really helps achieving a natural look with no stripes and not to look cakey, an issue you might have if you apply them with a heavy hand and you don’t blend them very well.

They also set quite quickly, so you have to blend them fast else you won’t be able to. Once you blended them in I suggest you to set it with face powder, a step I never miss, that way they will last quite long: on my skin they look flawless for around 4-5 hours, after that they start looking cakey .

I think they’re a good deal , you won’t find a 15 concealer palette at a lower price, and the quality is average, of course you can’t compare or expect them to perform like high end products, but for the price range they’re in I think they’re pretty good!

What I don’t like : pans are really small and I hit pan on few colors already, after using them not more than 10 times! All in all I think the camouflage palette is a better deal, it lasted me for months and even if there aren’t corrective shades in it I would repurchase it instead of this one, because I don’t use them much anyway.

I don’t use them under my eye because they’re too thick and they get into fine lines making them huge! They are alright to cover blemishes, to highlight and contour though.

They might be difficult to work with if you’re not familiar with such a creamy and thick texture, they need a bit of an effort to make them work, while on the other hand there are some high end products that go on smoothly and they blend into your skin in few seconds, but that’s why this palette is 10 times cheaper than those!

My verdict: I recommend it for beginners, for those who don’t have lots of makeup and don’t want to spend a fortune: this is the perfect palette for all of you, it will allow you to mix and match, to experiment and improve your skills! You won’t find better quality concealers at this price , and the palette is small and thin, perfect for travelling!

Oggi voglio parlarvi di una palette di correttori che ho comprato sul sito Coastal Scents che, per chi di voi non lo conoscesse, è una marca economica che offre una grande varietà di palette di ombretti, correttori, rossetti, ed anche glitters e pigmenti in confezioni singole! Ho acquistato online diverse volte, e continuo a farlo, mi trovo molto bene con alcuni dei loro prodotti e, secondo me , sono perfetti per chi si sta avvicinando al makeup e vuole ampliare la sua collezione senza spendere una fortuna: potete avere delle palette con tantissime tonalità a prezzi imbattibili, vi consiglio di dare un’occhiata al sito!

Io ho usato la loro camouflage palette, l’ho ricomprata almeno tre volte, ma l’ultima volta che ho fatto acquisti ho deciso di provare l’eclipse palette, per curiosità. Le due palette sono simili, ma l’eclipse ha 15 tonalità di correttore contro le 10 della camouflage, e questo è stato uno dei motivi che mi hanno convinto ad acquistarla!

Vediamo come viene descritta: la tua fata madrina ci ha detto che hai espresso il desiderio di avere una carnagione perfetta. Noi abbiamo esaudito il tuo desiderio. Puoi coprire le occhiaie,cancellare le imperfezioni, annullare i rossori, mascherare i brufoli con 15 correttori in crema. Una palette creata, per contornare, illuminare, creare colori personalizzati che si fondono con la vostra carnagione, che farà sparire ogni difetto. Questa palette è la vostra fata madrina per il vostro viso!

Il verde serve per neutralizzare i rossori causati da couperose o dai capillari fragili intorno al naso o sulle guance.

Il giallo chiaro serve per mascherare aloni scuri come quelli delle occhiaie, oppure dei lividi.

Il color lavanda serve a neutralizzare qualsiasi imperfezione tendente al giallo, e a correggere le carnagioni olivastre.

Il bianco argento può essere usato come illuminante per enfatizzare gli zigomi, il naso, la fronte e qualunque area del volto voi vogliate. Prezzo 14.95 $ ma spesso ci sono offerte speciali.

Cosa mi piace: la varietà di colori è senz’altro un punto a suo favore, perché con un’unica palette possiamo illuminare, correggere e contornare, possiamo mischiare le tonalità per crearne di personalizzate e soddisfare qualsiasi esigenza. Le cialde della camouflage palette sono più grandi , ma mancano i colori correttivi come il verde e il lavanda, quindi in un certo senso questi ultimi compensano la dimensione ridotta.

La consistenza è la stessa dei correttori della camouflage palette, sono cremosi e pastosi, io li scaldo prima con le mani e li ammorbidisco un po’, e questo mi permette di lavorarli più agevolmente, altrimenti sono un po’ troppo duri. La copertura è buona, e si possono modulare. Mi trovo bene usando la beauty blender, che mi permette di ottenere un look naturale senza righe né segni, e aiuta il prodotto a fondersi con la pelle ; se ne applicate troppo e non lo sfumate bene c’è il rischio di ottenere l’effetto mascherone.

Si fissano velocemente, quindi bisogna sfumarli subito, altrimenti diventa impossibile farlo! Una volta sfumati vi consiglio di fissarli con della cipria, passaggio che io faccio sempre, e in questo modo la durata è buona : su di me durano 4-5 ore, dopo di che iniziano a segnare il viso e non si ha più un aspetto fresco e naturale.

Secondo me hanno un buon rapporto qualità prezzo, non credo riuscirete a trovarne altri della stessa qualità a questo prezzo; chiaramente non sono allo stesso livello dei prodotti di alta profumeria, ma per la fascia di prezzo in cui si collocano sono dei prodotti validi!

Cosa non mi piace: le cialde sono piccole, pensate che ho già toccato il fondo di alcune, e non le ho usate più di dieci volte! Tutto sommato credo che la camouflage palette sia più conveniente, a me è durata mesi, ed anche se non ha le tonalità correttive per me non è un grosso problema, dal momento che le uso pochissimo.

Non li uso nel contorno occhi perché, data la consistenza molto cremosa, si infilano nelle linee d’espressione e le enfatizzano moltissimo! Sono invece adatti per contornare, illuminare e coprire le imperfezioni.

Se non siete abituate ad usare prodotti dalla consistenza così cremosa e pastosa, potreste incontrare qualche difficoltà, bisogna saperli lavorare e l’applicazione richiede qualche minuto, quando sappiamo che ci sono correttori di alta profumeria che si stendono e si fondono con la pelle in pochi minuti, e infatti non a caso costano tre volte tanto!

Il mio verdetto: la consiglio a chi è alle prime armi, a chi vuole ampliare la propria collezione makeup, e a chi non vuole spendere una fortuna: è la palette ideale per tutte voi, vi permette di sperimentare e mischiare i colori, e anche di migliorare la vostra tecnica usando un prodotto economico! È anche piccola e compatta, perfetta da portare in viaggio, e a questo prezzo non troverete dei prodotti di qualità migliore!
