January most played

As usual it’s time for January most played, an appointment I can’t miss, I’m addicted and I love reading other bloggers most played posts, I always find new products I want to try!

This month I really enjoyed wearing soft pink lipstick shades, and I’d like to mention Mac snob among them all , which is a cool , soft pink that makes my lips look natural, fresh and pouty, I can wear it with smoky eyes and dramatic makeup looks to tone lips down, but I can also wear with nude eyes and a winged cat line, it looks classy and lovely!

I also like wearing bold colors on my lips, I don’t think I’ll never stop loving them , and my favourite this month has been Lime Crime velvetine in wicked, a deep, dark red , burgundy red , very wintry and very intense! Velvetines are lip tint and their finish is completely matte, once they set on your lips they last  almost all day, they don’t go anywhere, they’re like second skin! Are they similar to Mac retro matte? No, they are totally different, retro matte have got a velvety finish , they don’t set into fine lines and they are lipsticks, they don’t set like lip tints but they are extremely longlasting, more than Velvetines actually. Velvetines don’t look velvety, if your lips are dry I don’t think you’re going to like them. Here you can find more details on them, all in all I think they’re quite unique and worth having!

This month I’ve been using my latest addiction to my pigment collection, Mac teal loose pigment: it is a gorgeous shade of teal with green, purple, fuchsia and silver microglitter in it and I love it! I used it for simple teal smoky eyes or in combo with other shades , and it hasn’t disappointed me! Mac pigment’s quality is great, I’ve got other brands but no shade is as complex and full of iridescence like them, the powder is so fine and it sticks to eyelids like no other, they’re definitely worth the money!

I’ve got oily skin and it’s not easy to find a good mattifying face powder, but I think I found the one perfect for me, and it’s Mac set powder! It’s a translucent powder that keeps my skin shine free longer than any other powders I’ve tried so far, maybe Sexy Mama by the balm can compare to this one but, apart from that, no other is as effective as this is! I love it, it doesn’t look cakey and it minimizes pores, giving my face an airbrushed finish! 

Let’s move to skin care products, this month the two I used the most are Kiko purifying scrub, a new addition to my skin care routine: it’s formulated for oily skin and it’s got micro grains inside that work really well at exfoliating and cleansing pores deeply, I love the feeling I get after using it, my skin feels clean and glowy! It’s definitely too aggressive for dry to combo skin, but if you’ve got oily skin like mine you should try it! I’ll write a full review soon, but I repurchased it already so that tells you I really love it!

last product of the month is the body shop Vitamin E face cream: I’ve been using it as night cream because it’s rich and it’s too much for me as day cream, but it’s perfect for dry skin as it’s moisturizing  but it’s not sticky, it gets absorbed really fast! Siamo arrivate al momento di vedere quail sono i prodotti most played del mese, un appuntamento a cui ormai non posso mancare, sono dipendente e mi piace leggere i post delle altre bloggers, trovo sempre suggerimenti e nuovi prodotti da provare!

Questo mese avevo voglia di usare tonalità di rossetti rosa pallido, e fra tutti quelli usati vi cito Mac snob, un rosa chiaro dal sottotono freddo che dona alle labbra un aspetto naturale, fresco e pieno, e si abbina sia a smoky eyes e a trucchi drammatici, ma anche ad un trucco occhi sui toni neutri e a una riga di eyeliner nero, risulta molto raffinato e femminile!

Mi piace comunque usare colori vibranti sulle labbra, non credo che smetterò mai di amarli, e questo mese il mio preferito è stato Lime Crime Velvetine in Wicked, un rosso bordeaux molto intenso, una tonalità adatta per l’inverno ! I velvetines sono tinte labbra dalla finitura completamente opaca che, una volta fissati sulle labbra, resistono per quasi tutto il giorno, non si muovono, diventano come una seconda pelle! Sono simili ai retro matte di Mac? No, sono totalmente diversi, i retro matte hanno una finitura vellutata, non enfatizzano le pieghette delle labbra, non si fissano come una tinta labbra ma, in realtà, durano più a lungo dei velvetines. Questi ultimi non donano alle labbra un aspetto vellutato, e se avete le labbra che tendono a seccarsi credo che non facciano al caso vostro. Qui potete leggere la mia recensione completa su questi prodotti, che per me vale comunque la pena di avere perché hanno delle caratteristiche uniche!

Questo mese ho usato l’ultimo arrivato nella mia collezione di pigmenti, Mac teal: è una bellissima tonalità di verde azzurro, con microglitter verdi, viola, fucsia e argento al suo interno, e mi piace da morire!l’ho usato sia per realizzare dei semplici smoky eyes verde azzurro, sia abbinato ad altri colori, e non mi ha mai deluso! La qualità dei pigmenti Mac è ottima, ne ho di altre marche ma nessuno ha la complessità e le iridescenze che hanno loro, inoltre la polvere è finissima e aderisce alla palpebra come nessun’altra marca, valgono decisamente il prezzo che costano!

Ho la pelle grassa e per me non è facile trovare delle valide polveri opacizzanti, ma credo di essere riuscita a trovare quella giusta per me, ed è la Mac set powder!è una polvere traslucida che mantiene la pelle opaca più a lungo di tutte le altre che ho provato, forse solo la Sexy Mama di The Balm è efficace come lo è questa, ma le altre non reggono il confronto! Mi ci trovo benissimo, non ha un effetto gessoso, minimizza i pori e la pelle sembra di porcellana!

Passiamo ai prodotti per la cura della pelle, questo mese i più usati sono stati due , il primo è lo scrub purificante di Kiko, una novità per quanto mi riguarda: è specifico per pelli grasse e impure, e al suo interno ha dei microgranuli che esfoliano e puliscono la pelle in profondità, lasciando sulla pelle una sensazione di freschezza e pulizia che mi piace molto!è un prodotto decisamente troppo aggressivo per pelli da secche a normali, ma se avete la pelle grassa come la mia vi consiglio di provarlo! Scriverò presto una recensione completa, posso dirvi che l’ho già riacquistato e questo vi fa capire che mi ci sono trovata molto bene!

Ultimo prodotto del mese è la crema alla vitamina E di the body shop, che sto usando come crema da notte perché, per la mia tipologia di pelle, risulterebbe troppo pesante come crema da giorno. Se avete la pelle secca invece va benissimo per il giorno, è nutriente ma non è grassa né appiccicosa e si assorbe velocemente!
