Eye makeup look 80's icon series : #4 Madonna

Hi fairies,
Let’s go on with the 80’s icon series, there’s another episode left before it’s over!
Today it’s Madonna’s turn, I couldn’t leave her out because during the 80’s she was very popular not only for her music but also for her style: she set quite a few trends, like the rubber bracelets up to half your harm, the rosary used as necklace, she started wearing red lipstick and it immediately was stylish again, after being forgotten during the 70’s , she set the bushy eye brow trend ( even though Brooke Shields was the first one in the first half of the 80’s to be honest) , also she set the lace glove and tights trend, as you can see there are many! As for makeup she didn’t stand out , she just followed the 80’s trends, but I included her in my series because her style was iconic, and when you think of 80’s you sure think of her among others! My inspiration has been this photo, a very 80’s makeup look that I recreated by applying a matte orange eye shadow all over my lid up to my crease, and I didn’t blend the edges much because blending wasn’t a very used technique at the time, it was perfected years later; I elongated the eye shadow in a winged shape on the outer corner, and then I applied a mauve satin eyeshadow in my crease up to my browbone , and I defused it just a bit with a blending brush. No highlighter was used for this look and for most of the 80’s makeup, they applied colorful eye shadows up to the brow bone in a way that looks weird nowadays but that was very popular at the time! I applied a brown eye pencil in the outer half of my lashline and I did the same in my lower lash line, and I smoked it out defusing any harsh lines. I added a bit of a shimmery tangerine eye shadow in the middle of the lid to lighten up the look. I haven’t got thick brows as she has so I just combed mine upwards to resemble hers, and for lipstick I went for a warm rose mauve one, matched with a brown lip pencil. That’s it, I hope you like it and I hope you’ve been enjoying this series!

Italian version:

Ciao fatine,
