One product review red apple lipgloss mint to be

Last year I had the pleasure to collaborate with Red Apple, a gluten free makeup brand based in Houston, Texas, with a very interesting philosophy: they chose to use safe ingredients , all made in the United States, making sure each supplier makes high quality ingredients. More and more people develop allergies nowadays, and in some cases it means they can’t use makeup because they’re sensitive to one of more ingredients . Red Apple has thought of allergic people who want to keep on wearing makeup and of anyone who wants to use safe makeup, and it’s got a wide range of colors, textures and products to choose from! here you can read my haul and my first impressions on their products .

Today I want to tell you what I think about the lip gloss they sent me, this is how they described it :Brazen Raisin:  While it looks dark brown in the tube - it goes on semi-sheer for a natural bronzed lip with no shimmer.  Brazen Raisin will tint your lips slightly deeper for a sultry yet sophisticated glossy look.  All Mint2Be glosses have a slight spearmint smell that is lovely yet doesn't linger. They are silky and not sticky, moisturizing and smooth.  Price 18.50 $

What I like : I love the texture because it’s not very sticky to be a lipgloss, and you know I hate sticky lipglosses , that’s why I rarely buy them! This one goes on smoothly, it’s very comfortable, there are micro glitters in it that give a nice shiny finish but you don’t feel them at all, the texture is silky. It’s quite pigmented , it’s a nice plum shade with a warm undertone , I would say it’s a fall and winter shade. It looks nice on its own for an easy and more natural look, and it can be added on top of lipsticks for a nice glow and for plumping up your lips. The coverage is medium when used on its own, not bad for a lipgloss in my opinion. It lasts about 2-3 hours and then you need to reapply it, but that’s normal for this kind of product, we can’t expect it to be long lasting. The sponge applicator allows a neat application without smudges.

What I don’t like : it’s got a strong minty scent that stays on your lips for at least five minutes, and it stings quite a bit! I don’t mind much, but for those of you who are sensitive to scents and who don’t like mint ones this is definitely a product to stay away from! It smudges a bit if you don’t use a lip pencil around the edges, and as it’s quite pigmented it shows. I would never wear it without a lip pencil! It’s quite pricey, I wouldn’t spend almost 20 $ for a lip gloss because I’m not a fan of them, but if you like them you might be willing to, especially considering it’s a good quality one. Of course if you’re allergic to gluten this is a great product for you, I would think of buying it myself it that was the case.

My verdict : I wouldn’t repurchase it because I don’t use lip gloss very often and because I think it’s a bit expensive for a lip gloss, but it’s a good product, not sticky, quite pigmented and, most of all, gluten free, so if you’re allergic to gluten and you love lip gloss this is the product for you!

L’anno scorso ho avuto il piacere di collaborare con Red Apple, una marca di cosmetici privi di glutine che ha la sua sede a Houston, Texas, che segue una filosofia molto interessante:hanno scelto di usare ingredienti sicuri, tutti prodotti negli Stati Uniti, e controllano che ogni fornitore usi ingredienti di alta qualità. Sempre più persone si scoprono allergiche ormai, e in alcuni casi questo significa non poter più truccarsi perché si è allergici a uno o più ingredienti contenuti nei prodotti. Red Apple ha pensato alle persone allergiche che vogliono continuare a truccarsi,e alle persone che vogliono usare prodotti sicuri, e propone una vasta gamma di colori, finiture e prodotti tra cui scegliere! Oggi voglio parlarvi del lucidalabbra che mi hanno inviato, ecco come lo descrivono: Brazen Raisin darà colore alle vostre labbra per un look sexy e sofisticato con una finitura lucida. Tutti i lucidalabbra Mint2Be hanno un leggero odore di menta che non è molto persistente. Sono setosi e non appiccicosi, nutrienti e facili da applicare. Prezzo 18.50 $.

Cosa mi piace: adoro la consistenza perché non è troppo appiccicosa per essere un lucidalabbra,e sapete che odio i lucidalabbra appiccicosi, ecco perché li acquisto raramente! Si stende con facilità, è molto confortevole sulle labbra, ha dei micro glitters al suo interno che danno luminosità, ma che non si sentono assolutamente una volta applicato, la finitura è setosa. È piuttosto pigmentato, il colore è una tonalità calda di prugna che , secondo me, è molto adatta in autunno e in inverno. Se usato da solo è perfetto per un look semplice e naturale, ma si abbina anche ai rossetti , aggiunge luminosità e rende le labbra più piene. Quando si usa da solo ha una copertura media, risultato abbastanza buono per un lucidalabbra. Dura circa 2-3 ore, dopodiché va riapplicato, ma per questo tipo di prodotto è normale, sappiamo che non può essere a lunga durata. L’applicatore a spugnetta permette un’applicazione precisa senza sbavature.

Cosa non mi piace: ha un forte odore di menta che persiste anche dopo averlo applicato per almeno cinque minuti, e pizzica abbastanza! A me non dà molto fastidio, ma se siete sensibili agli odori e non vi piace il profumo di menta vi consiglio di stare alla larga da questo prodotto! Se non si usa una matita per contornare le labbra si muove un po’ e fuoriesce dai contorni e, essendo pigmentato, si nota parecchio. Non lo userei mai , quindi, senza matita labbra! È piuttosto costoso per essere un lucidalabbra, io non spenderei mai quasi 20$ per questa tipologia di prodotti ma, se voi li amate potreste essere disposte a farlo, anche perché la qualità è buona. Se siete allergiche al glutine questo è , ovviamente, un prodotto da prendere in considerazione, credo che lo acquisterei se avessi questo problema.

Il mio verdetto: non lo ricomprerei perché non uso spesso i lucidalabbra e perché, a mio parere, costa un po’ troppo, ma è un buon prodotto, non è appiccicoso,è pigmentato e, soprattutto, è privo di glutine, quindi se siete allergiche e amate i lucidalabbra vi consiglio di provarlo!
