July empties aka all the good things come to an end

it’s the end of the month and it’s time to open my empties box to find out what’s inside!

We’re in summer and I’m self tanning, I got this Vita Liberata tan mousse as a freebie with an old Sephora order, so I thought it was time to use it! I actually didn’t like it, maybe it was too dark for my complexion, all I can say is my skin was orange and I got streaks all over, no matter how much I tried to apply it evenly, I hated it and I would never purchase it! It’s quite expensive and I’ve read positive reviews about Vita Liberata’s products, I don’t know if it was just the wrong one for my pale skin or if it was actually a low quality tan mousse, but I wasn’t impressed by it!

I’ve finished Petit Jardin hand cream honey and propolis, perfect for summer as it’s lightweight, it gets absorbed very fast, it’s not sticky and your hands won’t feel greasy at all, I enjoyed using it because it provided the right amount of hydration without being too heavy! I wouldn’t recommend it in winter or for very dry skin, it’s for normal skin and for spring and summer in my opinion.

Here’s my beloved kiko face sunblock SPF 30, not the highest SPF for me, now I’m on 50 , but this one was open and I had to finish it ; I apply it every day , all year round,before putting my makeup on, because we need to protect our skin from sun rays , it’s very important, but few people actually do that. I love kiko sunblock line, it works really well for me, I haven’t experienced any break outs, it’s not greasy , it gets absorbed fast and it’s scent free, it’s totally great!

I love the body shop monoi oil because it keeps my hair soft, shiny and healthy, and it smells delicious! Here you can read my full review on it!

I’m sad I ran out of World of beauty extreme chrono repair serum, I’ll write a full review soon, because my skin improved a lot since I’ve started using it : it minimizes pores, the skin looks firmer and more toned, it’s mattifying and it helps keeps shine under control! I’m thinking of repurchasing it, it also lasted really long as a little goes a long way!

The sephora anti shine face primer is a good everyday primer, I reached for it when I wasn’t going for a flawless look , for example when I just had to run errands, and it worked quite well as mattifier; it doesn’t smoothen the skin out, it doesn’t minimize pores nor give an airbrush effect, it does what it says, it mattifies the skin just . here you can read my review.

I ran out of my beloved Lycia anti traspirant, to me it’s the best one ever and I know it will never let me down no matter how hot and muggy it is! It’s been replaced already, of course!

I already replaced the Urban Decay 24/7 waterproof liquid liner in perversion, it is my holy grail liquid liner , here I talked about it;I prefer liquid liners with brush applicator like this one because they allow me to have total control on the thickness of the line, this one is very precise , it’s waterproof, it’s pigmented , it’s the best!

I love the Kiko Haute flower smoothing body lotion that came out with the Christmas limited edition, the consistency is quite runny , the product is lightweight but it’s very moisturizing, and I love the smell, very rich and spicy!

I also love kiko lip balm, it does its job , it’s not expensive, my lips feel soft and nourished and I already repurchased it; it’s got a minty scent that fades away quickly once applied.

I used few samples, Petit Jardin face cream that was too rich for my skin type, but I highly recommend it for dry skin, and two body lotions with a nice smell!

È la fine del mese ed è il momento di aprire la mia scatola dei prodotti finiti e scoprire insieme cosa contiene!

Siamo in estate e sto usando l’autoabbronzante, questa mousse di Vita Liberata l’ho ricevuta come omaggio insieme ad un ordine Sephora, e ho pensato fosse arrivato il momento di provarla! Non mi è piaciuta per niente, non so se sia perché è troppo scura per la mia carnagione,sta di fatto che ero diventata arancione e piena di strisce, nonostante gli sforzi fatti per applicarla uniformemente , nel complesso l’ho odiata e non la comprerei mai! Non è un prodotto economico, e avevo sempre sentito parlare bene dei prodotti Vita Liberata, quindi non so se era semplicemente non adatta al mio tipo di pelle o se effettivamente la qualità sia bassa, quello che so è che non mi ha entusiasmato assolutamente!

Ho finito la crema mani Petit Jardin al miele e propoli, perfetta per l’estate visto che è leggera, si assorbe rapidamente, non è appiccicosa e non lascia le mani unte,mi sono trovata benissimo ad usarla perché idratava ma non risultava pesante! Non la consiglierei come crema mani per l’inverno o per pelli molto secche, secondo me è una crema adatta alla primavera estate.

Ecco la mia amata protezione solare Kiko SPF 30, per non molto alta, sono infatti passata alla 50, ma avevo questo tubo aperto e dovevo finirlo; la uso ogni giorno, tutto l’anno, prima di truccarmi, perché abbiamo bisogno di proteggere la nostra pelle dai raggi solari, è importante farlo, ma purtroppo poche persone sono costanti. Amo la linea solare di Kiko, mi ci trovo molto bene, non mi ha mai fatto spuntare imperfezioni, non unge, si assorbe velocemente ed è priva di profumo!

Adoro l’olio di monoi di the Body Shop perché rende i miei capelli sani, lucidi e morbidi,e ha un profumo paradisiaco! Qui potete leggere la mia recensione completa.

Sono dispiaciuta di aver finito il  World of beauty extreme chrono repair serum, scriverò presto una recensione completa, perché ho notato che la mia pelle è migliorata da quando ho iniziato ad usarlo: riduce le dimensioni dei pori,opacizza e aiuta a tenere la lucidità sotto controllo! Sto pensando di ricomprarlo, mi è durato molto a lungo perché ne serve veramente pochissimo!

Il primer anti lucidità di Sephora è una buona base viso per tutti i giorni, lo usavo quando non volevo un viso assolutamente perfetto, ad esempio quando dovevo fare solo qualche commissione, ed era un opacizzante abbastanza valido; non ha un effetto lisciante, non minimizza i pori e non regala un effetto trucco aerografato, fa quello che promette, cioè opacizza. Ho terminato il mio amato Lycia anti odorante , che per è il migliore in assoluto, sono certa che non mi tradirà mai , anche con il caldo e l’umidità, infatti ne ho già aperto un altro!

Ho sostituito anche l’Urban Decay 24/7 waterproof liquid liner in perversion con uno nuovo dal momento che è l’eyeliner che non ha rivali per me, qui ve ne ho parlato; preferisco gli eyeliner con l’applicatore a pennellino perché mi permettono di controllare meglio lo spessore della linea,e questo è precisissimo, è resistente all’acqua, è molto pigmentato, è il migliore!

Mi è piaciuta la lozione corpo Kiko Haute flower smoothing body lotion che era uscita con l’edizione limitata di Natale, ha una consistenza piuttosto fluida ma idrata a fondo nonostante sia leggera, e aveva un buonissimo profumo , intenso e speziato!

Mi sono trovata bene anche con il balsamo labbra Kiko, fa il suo lavoro, non costa tanto,lascia le labbra morbide e nutrite, e l’ho già ricomprato; ha un odore di menta piuttosto intenso che però svanisce rapidamente una volta applicato.

Ho usato qualche campioncino, quelli della crema viso petit Jardin che era troppo corposa per il mio tipo di pelle, ma che consiglio a chi ha la pelle secca, e quelli di due lozioni corpo dai profumi molto gradevoli!

Eye makeup look clear crystal water

Today’s makeup makes me think of Ice fairy, or of the movie Frozen, which I love , with icy blue shades very similar to snow and winter wonderland! Needless to say, I love these colors and I often wear them, they look great in winter but they do in summer as well , if you add a bit of gold it will turn into a sea and sun inspired look!

I applied an icy blue all over my lid, and I blended it toward my crease; in the crease I applied a turquoise eyeshadow, using a fluffy blending brush because I wanted the color to be defused; to add more definition to the crease I added a teal eye shadow and I tried to concentrate it in the outer part of my crease; I also dragged it down to the outer corner of my eyes. In the inner corner I applied a Mac frosty white eye shadow  that is perfect to open up my eyes and highlight the tear duct area. As highlight I chose a white and blue duochrome pigment, perfect with the shades I used! That’s it, I hope you like it!

Il trucco di oggi mi fa pensare ad una fatina delle nevi, ed anche al film disney Frozen,che è uno dei miei preferiti, con le varie tonalità di bianco ghiaccio, celeste, azzurro, che troviamo nei paesaggi invernali innevati! Non c’è bisogno che vi dica che questi colori sono nelle mie corde e li indosso spesso, sono fantastici in inverno ma si possono usare anche in estate, e se li abbinate ad un pizzico di oro otterrete un trucco che ricorda il mare e il sole!

Ho steso un ombretto celeste pastello chiaro su tutta la palpebra, e l’ho sfumato verso l’alto, fino alla piega dell’occhio; nella piega ho applicato un ombretto azzurro, ed ho usato un pennello da sfumatura perché volevo che il colore non avesse linee nette; per definire meglio la piega dell’occhio ho aggiunto un ombretto turchese,ed ho cercato di concentrarlo principalmente nella metà esterna della piega ,e l’ho poi trascinato verso l’angolo esterno dell’occhio. Nell’angolo interno ho usato un ombretto di mac bianco con riflessi argentati ,perfetto per illuminare ed enfatizzare questa parte dell’occhio. Come illuminante ho scelto un bianco con iridescenze blu, che si abbina benissimo alle altre tonalità usate! È tutto, spero vi piaccia!

July most played

It’s the end of the month and it’s most played time! Before getting started I’ll leave you the link to goldenvi0let’s blog, the creator the most played tag, where you can find all the info to join the team if you haven’t already!

This month I’ve been testing the new Kiko power pro nail lacquer, I bought few of them and I’ve been playing around: so far I like them, they’re pigmented, they give good coverage after one coat, but I always apply a second one because I want full coverage, colors are vibrant and their lasting power is good, they last without chipping for at least 4 days!

I’ve also been using world of beauty pro vita base coat, here you can read more about it, and I think it’s a great base coat: my mani lasts longer, it protects my nails from stain, it strengthens them , I really like it!

I use sun block all year round but I decided to add it to my most played because it’s summer time and I think everybody should protect their skin from UVA and UVB rays: so many people still don’t use sunblock, few people do in summer , while they should do it in winter as well because sun rays hit our skin in every season, not only in summer. I’ve been mostly using Kiko sun block lotions for the last two years and I’ve never had a problem with them, I haven’t experienced any break outs, I love them because they get absorbed fast without leaving a white layer on my skin, their consistency is just about right, not too runny nor too thick , and they’re basically scent free!

I’ve been loving the Sephora lip tint number 13 Marvelous mauve, in my opinion the quality is really high, maybe better than any lip tints I’ve tried so far: it’s very comfortable,it doesn’t feel dry, it doesn’t crack, it’s extremely long lasting, it doesn’t set into fine lines! I’ll soon write a full review, I definitely prefer this one to Lime Crime ones, they are very thin, they transfer and they’re not very longlasting. I won’t purchase any Lime Crime products anymore because the company is shady, but that’s another story; if you’re interested to know all about it you can google it and you’ll find all the info you need. Back to the Sephora lip tint: I love the color, it looks like a dusty pink on my lips, it’s not very mauve at all, but I like it a lot!

I’ve been reaching for pink shades when it comes to eyeshadows, here’s some of my Kiko infinity palette, you can read what I think about these eyeshadows here, I love them basically! They’re so pigmented, buttery, easy to work with and longlasting, you can’t beat them! They’re so inexpensive and the quality is great! I’ve used more pink shades such as some indie loose pigments I’ve got to add some shimmer to my eye makeup looks, I’ve been obsessed with pink!

Questo mese sto provando i nuovi smalti Kiko power pro, ne ho comprati diversi e mi sto divertendo ad usarli: per il momento mi sto trovando bene,sono pigmentati, si ottiene una buona copertura già dopo la prima passata, anche se io applico sempre un secondo strato perché voglio una copertura totale; i colori sono intensi e la durata è buona, resistono circa 4 giorni senza sbeccarsi!

Sto provando anche la base per unghie pro vita di world of beauty, qui trovate maggiori informazioni sul prodotto, e a mio parere è una base molto valida: lo smalto dura più a lungo, protegge le unghie da ingiallimento, le rinforza, insomma ha tutto quello che si può volere in un prodotto del genere!

Uso la protezione solare tutto l’anno ma ho deciso di aggiungerla alla lista di questo mese perché siamo in estate, e credo che tutti dovrebbero proteggere la pelle dai raggi UVA e UVB: tante persone ancora non usano la protezione solare, qualcuno la usa in estate ma andrebbe usata anche in inverno, dal momento che i raggi del sole colpiscono la nostra pelle in tutte le stagioni. Negli ultimi due anni ho usato quasi sempre i solari Kiko e non ho mai avuto problemi, non mi sono spuntate imperfezioni, mi piacciono perché si assorbono velocemente e non lasciano una patina bianca sulla pelle, hanno una consistenza né troppo liquida né troppo corposa, sono praticamente senza profumo!

Mi sta piacendo molto la tinta labbra Sephora numero 13 Marvelous Mauve, secondo me la qualità è alta, direi superiore a quella della maggior parte delle tinte labbra che ho provato: è molto confortevole, non secca le labbra, non si screpola, è estremamente duratura e non si infila nelle lineette delle labbra! Scriverò presto una recensione completa, a mio parere è migliore delle tinte Lime Crime che hanno una consistenza molto sottile, non si fissano completamente e non hanno una durata particolarmente lunga. Non compro più prodotti Lime Crime perché la compagnia non è affidabile, ma questa è una storia lunga; se volete saperne di più potete cercare con Google, troverete tutte le informazioni su quello che è successo. Torniamo alla tinta labbra di Sephora: il colore è bellissimo, su di me risulta rosa antico piuttosto che malva, ma mi piace molto!

Sto usando anche ombretti nei toni del rosa, qui vedete alcuni Kiko infinity nelle loro palette, potete leggere la mia recensione se vi fa piacere,in breve posso dirvi che amo questi ombretti! Sono pigmentatissimi, hanno una consistenza vellutata, sono facili da sfumare e durano a lungo, è impossibile batterli! Sono poco costosi ma la qualità è molto buona! Sto usando anche alcuni pigmenti di compagnie indipendenti, che mi danno modo di aggiungere un tocco scintillante ai miei trucchi occhi! Sono ossessionata dal rosa ultimamente!

One Product review : Kiko perfect gel duo nail lacquer

You probably know Kiko launched a new nail lacquer set a couple of months ago, called kiko perfect gel duo , and I purchased four colors to try them out. Every set has got a nail lacquer and a top coat and it’s sold in  a silver box that displays the number, name and shade on top . when it comes to nail polish I can’t resist, I have to buy new ones , and this time it was no exception!

Let’s see how they’re described: set of two limited edition gel effect nail polishes. The color and top coat combine for a manicure of maximum shine and exceptional hold, thanks to an exclusive technology activated with natural light. As the days go by, the polish glossy finish becomes harder, maintaining the shine and color for up to seven days. The intense color is revealed after the second coat. The texture is rich and creamy. Thanks to the flat brush with clear bristles, the polish glides on smoothly and easily. The coats go on evenly. The top coat polish, sensitive to natural light, comes in a metallic bottle to better preserve the formula. Available in 18 colors. Price 7.90 £ - 7.90 €.

What I like : they claim to give a gel like effect , and they actually do what they promise: nail polish is very pigmented, colors are rich and you’ll get great coverage with one coat and full coverage with two coats. The consistency is thick enough to go on smoothly and evenly , but it’s not gloppy at all! It dries pretty fast and the top coat is amazing! It gives your nails that glossy gel like result without being thick and difficult to apply, I already finished one bottle and the consistency stayed the same till the end, which is remarkable and not very common; it’s very long lasting, on my nails 6 days without chipping, and you can use this top coat on any other nail polish to make it lasts longer, it does work! After trying them out I wanted to buy more shades but, unfortunately, they were already out of stock and I was so disappointed! I hope they’ll make the top coat part of the permanent line because it’s a good one, I’ve got three bottles left and after that I’m going to miss it! My go to top coat is kiko 3 in 1 shine , which is good, but this one is a step ahead!

What I don’t like: the smell is peculiar, I’d describe it as similar to soy milk one, unusual for a nail polish but it’s a nice scent in my opinion. I’m aware some people might not like it though. I’ve heard complaints about the fact they’re sold as a set and, when you buy several colors, you’ll end up with several top coats but, in my opinion, this is not a problem because these top coats are totally great and , as I said, I regret not buying more of them. If you don’t use nail polish on a regular basis I understand the issue, but I run out of top and base coat each month, keeping some in stock is something I actually do!

My verdict: l love these sets and I hope they will be available again soon, quality price ratio is really good, they’ve got a glossy finish, they stay glossy for days, they don’t chip , they’re very long lasting, they’re pigmented and easy to apply, I hope you bought at least one of them while they were available!

Probabilmente saprete che Kiko ha lanciato, qualche mese fa, un nuovo set di smalti chiamato kiko perfect gel duo, e io ne ho comprati quattro per provarli. Ogni set è composto da uno smalto e da un top coat , ed è venduto in una scatola argentata che mostra il numero, il nome della tonalità e il colore sulla parte superiore. Quando si tratta di smalti non resisto, devo assolutamente provare le ultime novità, e anche questa volta non mi sono smentita!

Vediamo come vengono descritti: set di due smalti per unghie effetto gel in edizione limitata. La combinazione di colore e top coat garantisce la massima brillantezza e un’estrema tenuta, grazie ad una tecnologia esclusiva che si attiva con la luce naturale. Giorno dopo giorno il film glossy creato sull’unghia si indurisce, preservando la lucentezza e la durata del colore fino a 7 giorni. Il colore rivela tutta la sua intensità dopo la seconda applicazione. La texture è ricca e cremosa. Il pennello piatto con setole trasparenti rende l’applicazione facile e scorrevole. La stesura è perfettamente omogenea. Il top coat, sensibile ai raggi della luce naturale, è contenuto in un flacone metallizzato che ne preserva la stabilità.Disponibile in 18 colorazioni. Prezzo 7.90 £ - 7.90 €.

Cosa mi piace: promettono di regalare un effetto gel, ed effettivamente è proprio così: lo smalto è molto pigmentato, i colori sono intensi e pieni, si ottiene un’ottima copertura con una passata, e una copertura totale con due passate. La consistenza ha la giusta densità che permette di applicare il prodotto uniformemente, non è assolutamente pastosa! L’asciugatura è veloce e il top coat è eccezionale! Rende le unghie lucidissime senza ispessirle troppo, è semplice da stendere e la consistenza rimane la stessa fino alla fine, io ho già terminato una bottiglia e il prodotto non era diventato colloso, qualità rara e positiva; la durata è lunga, su di me durano circa 6 giorni senza sbeccarsi,e il top coat si può usare abbinato a qualsiasi altro smalto per aumentarne la durata, per la mia esperienza la differenza si vede! Dopo averli provati volevo acquistare altri colori ma,purtroppo, erano già esauriti, e sono rimasta molto delusa! Spero che il top coat diventi parte della linea permanente perché è davvero ottimo, ne ho ancora tre bottiglie e non so come farò quando le avrò finite! Di solito uso Kiko 3 in 1 shine come top coat, che non è male, ma questo è un passo avanti!

Cosa non mi piace: ha un odore particolare che, secondo me, ricorda quello del latte soia, decisamente inusuale per uno smalto ma, secondo me, è gradevole. Mi rendo conto che , però, potrebbe non piacere ad alcune persone. Ho letto lamentele sul fatto che venissero venduti come set e che , comprando diversi colori, si finisce con l’avere anche diversi top coat, ma questo per me non è un problema dal momento che sono prodotti validissimi e, come ho detto, rimpiango di non averne comprati di più. Se non usate lo smalto regolarmente capisco il problema, ma io termino base e top coat ogni mese, e normalmente ne tengo alcuni di riserva !

Il mio verdetto: adoro questi set e spero che vengano riassortiti al più presto, il rapporto qualità prezzo è ottimo,hanno una finitura lucida che resiste per giorni, non si sbeccano e sono a lunga durata, sono pigmentati e facili da stendere, spero che ne abbiate comprato uno quando erano ancora disponibili!
