Red flowers nail art

Hi fairies,

In spring I love floral nail arts, and this one is really easy to do! I painted all my nails with a gold holo nail polish and I left the moon out on my middle and ring finger. They sell stickers to do that or you can free hand it. On these last two nails I painted some tiny flowers: on the bare half of the moon I used the holo nail polish for the petals, on the other half I used a fuchsia, and that was it, I hope you like it!

In primavera mi piacciono le nail art floreali, e questa è veramente facilissima! Ho usato su tutte le unghie uno smalto olografico dorato e ho lasciato libere le lunette sul medio e sull’anulare. Vendono degli adesivi a questo scopo oppure si può provare a mano libera. Su queste ultime due unghie ho dipinto dei fiorellini: sulla parte vuota della lunetta ho usato lo smalto olografico per disegnare i petali, mentre sull’altra metà ho usato un fucsia, ed è tutto, spero vi piaccia!

Eye makeup look fly me to the moon

“fly me to the moon” is one of my favorite song of all time so I got inspired by the song’s mood for today’s look!

I started by blending a berry eyeshadow in the crease and then, in the lower half of my crease, I added a matte purple eyeshadow to intensify the color; I added some more berry around the edges to create a smooth gradient. On my lid I first applied a purple creamy base and that helped me cutting my crease and making eyeshadows pop, and in the middle I used a duochrome eyeshadow from a gorgeous palette, Urban Decay moondust, called galaxy, while in the inner and outer corner I placed a matte burgundy eyeshadow and I blended where the two colors met. I completed the look with a winged liner and mascara, and that was it, I hope you like this dramatic look!

“fly me to the moon” è una delle mie canzoni preferite di sempre , così mi sono ispirata all’atmosfera della canzone per il look di oggi!

Ho cominciato sfumando un ombretto color lampone nella piega dell’occhio e poi, nella metà inferiore della piega, ho aggiunto un ombretto opaco viola per intensificare il colore; ho aggiunto dell’altro ombretto lampone sui contorni per creare una sfumatura omogenea. Sulla palpebra mobile ho prima applicato una base cremosa viola che mi ha aiutato a definire la piega dell’occhio e a far risaltare gli ombretti che vi ho poi applicato sopra e, al centro, ho usato un ombretto duochrome contenuto in una bellissima palette, la Moondust di Urban Decay, galaxy, mentre nell’angolo interno ed esterno ho usato un ombretto opaco bordeaux e ho sfumato dove i due colori si incontravano. Ho completato il look con una riga di eyeliner e del mascara, ed è tutto, spero che questo look drammatico vi piaccia!

This is my first Zoeva palette ever, for some reason others weren’t very appealing to me even though I’ve read positive reviews on eyeshadows quality, but this one isn’t the usual neutral palette so I decided to buy it!

Let’s see how it’s described: Out of this world, our ZOEVA Retro Future Eyeshadow Palette reflects the celestial beauty of intergalactic nights. Travel through time and space and shine like a star with an interstellar variation of highly pigmented eyeshadow shades ranging from galactic gray over cosmic violet to electric blue – for extraterrestrial makeup looks with a futuristic flair.

Finishes: Duochrome, Matte, Matte with glitter, Metallic. Price 22.50 €.

What I like: I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the cardboard packaging, which is compact and sturdy but not bulky, perfect for travelling. The color range is right up my alley, the upper row features a matte white that works really well as browbone highlighter, an olive green, a caramel, a shimmery brown and a shimmery peach. The second row is my favorite because it features cold shades such an awesome royal blue or a blurple to be precise, an amazing matte lavender, super pigmented and not chalky, a gorgeous shimmery purple with blue shimmer and a black with silver glitter. The quality of all eyeshadow is good, mattes aren’t powdery, they’re buttery, pigmented, easy to blend and the shimmers are as well, there’s no fall out, they blend like heaven, they last all day without creasing and without fading. They are all very vibrant but they’re buildable and, depending on the brush you use to apply them they can be more or less intense.

What I don’t like: it is almost a complete palette, and I say almost because only a transition shade is missing; the taupe is shimmer so it’s not the best choice for your crease even though it can be used, but there isn’t any matte transitional shade.

My verdict: I definitely want to try another one of their palette, quality price ratio is good, all eyeshadows perform really well, I really love this product!

Questa è la mia prima palette Zoeva, non so per quale motivo le loro altre palette non mi attiravano nonostante avessi letto recensioni positive sulla qualità degli ombretti, ma questa non è la solita palette di colori neutri, quindi ho deciso di acquistarla!

Vediamo come viene descritta: la fine del mondo, la nostra ZOEVA Retro Future Eyeshadow Palette rispecchia la celestiale bellezza delle notti intergalattiche. Viaggia nel tempo e nello spazio come una stella con una varietà interstellare di tonalità di ombretti altamente pigmentati che vanno dal grigio galattico al viola cosmico e al blu elettrico—per look extraterrestri dal look futuristico.

Cosa mi piace: sono stata piacevolmente sorpresa dal packaging di cartone, compatto e solido ma non ingombrante, perfetto per viaggiare. La gamma di colori è proprio quella che piace a me, la fila superiore presenta un bianco opaco che è molto bello come illuminante dell’arcata sopraccigliare, un verde oliva, un caramello, un marrone luminoso e un pesca luminoso. La fila inferiore è la mia preferita perché ci sono tonalità fredde come un bellissimo blu elettrico o meglio, per essere precisi, un viola blu, un fantastico lavanda opaco che non è farinoso ed è super pigmentato, un meraviglioso viola con riflessi blu e un nero con glitter argento. La qualità di tutti gli ombretti è buona, gli opachi non sono polverosi ma burrosi, pigmentati, facili da sfumare, così come anche quelli luminosi, non c’è fall out, si sfumano meravigliosamente, durano tutto il giorno senza infilarsi nelle pieghette e senza sbiadire. Sono tutti molto intensi ma sono anche modulabili e, a seconda del pennello usato per applicarli possono risultare più o meno intensi.

Cosa non mi piace: è una palette quasi completa, e dico quasi perché manca solo un colore di transizione; il color talpa è luminoso quindi non è la scelta migliore per la piega anche se può essere usato, ma non c’è nessun colore di transizione opaco.

Il mio verdetto: voglio assolutamente provare un’altra delle loro palette, il rapporto qualità prezzo è buono, tutti gli ombretti hanno un’ottima resa, è un prodotto che amo molto!

Batman nail art

Are you marvel fans? I like some of their characters more than others, batman is one of them so I tried to come up with a Batman nail art!

First of all I applied two coats of a black nail polish on all my nails as my background color and when it was dry I drew Batman’s logo on my middle, index and ring finger: it’s a yellow oval shape with a bat in the middle and that was what I did, I just outlined the yellow with black to make it stand out more and I added some white details to the bat, and that was it, I hope you like it!

Siete fan della Marvel? A me piacciono alcuni personaggi più di altri, Batman è uno di questi e così ho cercato di realizzare una nail art ispirata proprio a lui!

Prima di tutto ho dato due passate di uno smalto nero su tutte le unghie come colore di sfondo e, quando si è asciugato, ho disegnato il logo di Batman sul medio, indice e anulare: è un ovale giallo con un pipistrello al centro e questo è stato esattamente quello che ho fatto, ho poi semplicemente contornato di nero il giallo per farlo risaltare maggiormente e ho aggiunto qualche tocco di bianco al pipistrello, ed è tutto, spero vi piaccia!

It took a while to Kiko to launch their own matte liquid lipsticks, I’ve been waiting for them and when they became available I knew I had to try some of them!

Let’s see how they are described: From KIKO MILANO comes the new Instant Colour Matte Liquid Lip Colour. An ultra-matte liquid lipstick with a fluid, velvety texture, richly pigmented for pure, high-intensity colour.

Its formula, enriched with vegetable oils, guarantees a long-lasting feeling of comfort. 

Thanks to the new-generation flocked applicator, the colour is set onto the lips for a long-lasting matte look. Available in 15 shades. Price 7.90 £ - 7.95 €.

What I like: i find the color range quite interesting because there are classic shades like red and pink but there also are unique shades such as green, blue and black and a gorgeous cold smoky purple, number 11, which I’m in love with! It’s a wearable yet unique color that looks good on my pale skin and I wore it often last winter. The doe foot applicator is flexible and it makes easy to apply the product. It’s comfortable and not drying, at least on my lips, the texture is smooth and it dries to a matte finish. I own four shades and none of them is streaky, they are all pigmented and they apply evenly. It doesn’t crack and it doesn’t fade away, it performs well when I drink and eat, it might need a touch up after a meal but the good thing is you can layer it and it doesn’t flake .

What I don’t like: dark shades fade a little bit in the middle of my lips after 5-6 hours or after eating and I don’t like the look of it but, as I said, I touch it up and it looks perfect.

My verdict: I would definitely purchase more shades if they were available, I hope they’ll add some in the future!

Cosa mi piace: secondo me la gamma colori è piuttosto interessante perché ci sono colori classici come dei rosa e dei rossi ma anche colori unici come  verde, blu, nero e un bellissimo viola freddo con un tocco di grigio all’interno, il numero 11, che amo follemente! È un colore portabile ma originale che sta bene con la mia carnagione chiara e che ho indossato spesso lo scorso inverno. L’applicatore a spugnetta è flessibile e rende la stesura semplice. È confortevole e non secca, almeno sulle mie labbra, la consistenza è morbida e quando si asciuga la finitura diventa opaca. Io ho acquistato quattro tonalità e nessuna lascia striature,  sono tutte molto pigmentate e si applicano uniformemente. Non si formano crepette e non svanisce, ha una buona resa quando mangio e bevo, può essere necessario un ritocco dopo i pasti ma la cosa positiva è che si può stratificare senza che se ne vada via a pezzi.

Cosa non mi piace: le tonalità più scure possono andare via al centro delle labbra dopo 5-6 ore o dopo aver mangiato ma, come ho detto, io lo riapplico dove serve ed è perfetto.

Il mio verdetto: sicuramente comprerei altre tonalità se fossero disponibili, spero che le aggiungano in futuro!

Eye makeup look bold red

Do you wonder how to incorporate red in your makeup? Do you think it’s too bright and you’re scared to use it? This look shows you a way to use red without looking sick! It’s definitely a bold and vibrant look but I’m not a neutral girl!

I started cutting my crease with a tiny detail brush and red eyeshadow and I followed the natural shape of my crease; I blended the red upwards to defuse any harsh lines. With some concealer I defined my crease even more and then I applied yellow eyeshadow in my inner corner, followed by lime green eyeshadow. In the outer corner I used a bright baby blue eyeshadow. I completed the look with a winged liner and some mascara, and that was it, I hope you like it!

 Vi chiedete come incorporare del rosso nel Vostro makeup? Pensate che sia troppo vistoso e avete paura di usarlo? Questo look vi mostra un modo di usare il rosso senza sembrare malate! È sicuramente un look intenso e impegnativo, ma io non amo i colori neutri!

Ho cominciato a definire la piega dell’occhio con un pennello sottile e dell’ombretto rosso, seguendo la naturale forma della piega; ho sfumato il rosso verso l’alto per eliminare eventuali righe nette. Con del correttore ho definito ancor meglio la piega dell’occhio e poi ho applicato dell’ombretto giallo nell’angolo interno seguito da un ombretto verde lime. Nell’angolo esterno ho usato un ombretto azzurro molto pigmentato. Ho completato il look con una riga di eyeliner e del mascara, ed è tutto, spero vi piaccia!

Anchor nail art

Summer is getting close and I’m getting ready with this nautical nail art! I painted my nails with white and royal blue nail polish and, when it was dry, I used a dotting tool to draw two blue parallel lines of dots on the white background. On my middle finger I drew them horizontally and vertically on my thumb. On my middle finger I just added an orange dot where my nail moon is, while on my thumb I drew an orange anchor using a nail art brush but you can use a dotting tool or a toothpick as it’s very easy to do, that’s it, I hope you like it!

L’estate si sta avvicinando e io mi sto preparando con questa nail art a tema nautico! Ho usato dello smalto bianco e azzurro sulle mie unghie e, una volta asciutto, ho usato un dotting tool per disegnare due linee blu parallele, fatte di pois, sullo sfondo bianco. Sul medio le ho disegnate orizzontalmente e sul pollice verticalmente. Sul medio ho semplicemente aggiunto un pois arancione dove c’è la lunetta dell’unghia, mentre sul pollice ho disegnato un’ancora arancione usando un pennello da nail art, ma si può usare anche un dotting tool o uno stuzzicadenti  visto che è un disegno molto semplice, ed è tutto, spero vi piaccia!

It’s well known I’m a sucker for sparkly purple eyeshadows, for anything sparkly actually, and as I hadn’t tried anything from Kat von D’s makeup, my first pick has been one of her metal crush eyeshadow, danzig!

Let’s see how metal crush eyeshadows are described: intense maxed-out pigment plus unstoppable crease-proof wear…it’s official, we have a forever crush on this metallic eyeshadow!

When you touch it, you just know this shadow is something special. To develop the plush, creamy formula, we pushed the boundaries of long wear and high-pigment—needless to say, we gotta have both! Just because it had never been done before, doesn’t mean it isn’t possible…and Metal Crush Eyeshadow is here to prove it! Price 21.00 $.

What I like: it’s not easy to find cool purple eyeshadows, especially in the last few years where cold shades where the “ish”, so I was over the moon when I saw danzig and the shade didn’t disappoint me: it’s a vibrant, dark, cool purple with blue and silver microglitter in it, absolutely gorgeous in my opinion! The texture is buttery, almost creamy, it’s not flaky nor powdery and it’s very easy to apply. The color pay off is good, it’s easy to blend and it’s buildable. It doesn’t crease and it doesn’t set into fine lines. It lasts all day without fading on my lids.

What I don’t like: it’s quite expensive for a mono eyeshadow and I understand not everybody is willing to spend 20$ for just one eyeshadow, but the quality is really good and sometimes it’s better to buy just one good eyeshadow rather than many disappointing ones.

My verdict: it is one of the best cool purple on the market, I love the texture and how it performs, I wish they added more shades to this line.

È risaputo che adoro gli ombretti viola luminosi, a dire il vero adoro qualsiasi ombretto luminoso e, visto che non avevo ancora provato nulla della linea makeup di kat von D, ho deciso di iniziare con uno dei suoi metal crush eyeshadow, danzig!

Vediamo come vengono descritti i metal crush eyeshadows: pigmento super intenso e anti effetto pieghettato…è ufficiale, abbiamo una cotta fortissima per questi ombretti metallici!

Quando li tocchi, capisci subito che questi ombretti sono speciali. Per ottenere la formula cremosa e morbida abbiamo superato i limiti della lunga tenuta e dell’alta pigmentazione—ovviamente dovevamo averle entrambe! Solo perché non era mai stato fatto prima non significa che fosse impossibile…e i Metal Crush eyeshadows sono qui a provarlo! Prezzo 21.00 $

Cosa mi piace: non è facile trovare ombretti viola freddi, specialmente negli ultimi anni in cui hanno dominato le tonalità calde, quindi ero al settimo cielo quando ho visto il colore Danzig, che non mi ha deluso: è un viola freddo, intenso e scuro con micro glitter blu e argento all’interno, secondo me assolutamente fantastico! La consistenza è burrosa, quasi cremosa, non si sfalda, non è polveroso ed è facile da applicare. La resa del colore è buona, è facile da sfumare e non è modulabile. Non fa effetto incartapecorito e non si infila nelle pieghette. Sulle mie palpebre dura tutto il giorno senza sbiadire.

Cosa non mi piace: è abbastanza caro per essere un ombretto singolo e mi rendo conto che non tutti sono disposti a spendere 20 $ per un solo ombretto, ma è di ottima qualità e a volte è meglio comprare un solo ombretto valido piuttosto che tanti ombretti deludenti.

Il mio verdetto: è uno dei migliori viola freddi sul mercato, mi piace molto la texture e la sua resa, mi piacerebbe che aggiungessero altri colori alla gamma.
