World of Beauty Summer Box

Hi fairies,

Few weeks ago I received the World of Beauty summer box, I had the chance to pick the one I wanted to try out of ten amazing boxes, and I chose the one called “Purezza assoluta” , perfect for combo to oily skin type.

World of Beauty is an Italian brand with 40 years of experience ; it was founded in Castrocaro and they’ve always paid attention to ingredients, using the purest herbs and perfecting the craft of fresh vegetable stem cells extraction, to obtain 100% pure essential oils. All their products are “organic” ecogroup,paraben free, paraffin free, cruelty free, day spa association, efficacy and microbiological certified, because they want to give their customers high quality products and at the same time they want to respect the environment.

Let’s see what I found in the box: in a beautiful bag that I will definitely put in my luggage when I go on vacation, there were two products, Purete acid cream and Dermoliquido. They are meant to use in combo for the best results.

I have oily skin and I struggle to keep shine at bay, in summer this issue is even more annoying because, as you probably know, oily skin perspires a lot in the heat, makeup doesn’t stay on all day, it gets patchy and it looks cakey, pores are very visible, a total nightmare!

I need products formulated for oily skin, and World of Beauty has some of the best cosmeceutical products on the market, everything I tried was absolutely high quality and it made a difference for my skin!

Purete acid cream is a natural formula cream that helps controlling sebum production, evens out skin tone, it’s a great makeup base as it’s not greasy and it gets absorbed fast.it’s formulated with sage extract, phospopholipids, allantoin, plant- based active substances such as coconut and shea butter that are moisturizing, nourishing but not heavy and they don’t clog pores. I apply it in the morning and in the evening. 

Dermoliquido is a face cleanser for all skin types and, more specifically, for oily and acne prone skin types. It helps soothing acne prone skin and it gives best results when used in combo with purete acid cream. It’s formulated with sage extract, a natural anti-bacterial that reduces black heads and minimizes pores.

This summer is going to be awesome, my skin won’t be shiny but I’ll shine like a star thanks to World of Beauty!

Qualche settimana fa ho ricevuto la box primavera-estate di World of beauty, ho avuto modo di scegliere fra dieci box stupende e ho scelto quella chiamata “Purezza Assoluta”, ideale per pelli miste e grasse.

World of Beauty è un’azienda italiana con un’esperienza di 40 anni; fondata a Castrocaro, l’azienda ha sempre prestato attenzione agli ingredienti,usando estratti vegetali purissimi e perfezionando l’arte  dell’estrazione di cellule staminali vegetali per ottenere oli essenziali puri al 100%.

Tutti i prodotti sono certificati “organic”, senza parabeni,senza paraffina, cruelty free non testato su animali, day spa association, efficacy e microbiological, ulteriore conferma dell’impegno dell’azienda non solo sul fronte della qualità , ma anche su quello ecologico.

Vediamo cosa ho trovato nella box: in una bellissima pochette che metterò in valigia quando andrò in vacanza, c’erano due prodotti, Purete Acid Cream e Dermoliquido. Sono studiati per essere usati insieme, in modo da avere risultati ottimali.

Io ho la pelle grassa e fatico a tenere a bada la lucidità, in estate il problema diventa ancora più fastidioso perché, come probabilmente saprete, la pelle grassa traspira molto col caldo, il trucco non resiste tutto il giorno si formano macchie e l’aspetto diventa pastoso, i pori diventano molto visibili, insomma un vero e proprio incubo!

Ho bisogno di prodotti formulati specificamente per la pelle grassa, e World of Beauty ha alcuni tra i migliori prodotti cosmeceutici sul mercato, tutto quello che ho provato era di ottima qualità e ha fatto la differenza per la mia pelle!

Purete acid cream è una crema a formulazione naturale che regolarizza e corregge l’eccessiva produzione di sebo, uniforma l’incarnato ed è un’ottima base per il makeup perché non unge e si assorbe velocemente. È formulata con estratto di salvia, fosfolipidi, allantoina, principi attivi di origine botanica come il cocco e il burro di karitè che sono idratanti, nutrienti ma non appesantiscono e non occludono i pori. La applico la mattina e la sera.

Dermoliquido è un detergente viso adatto a tutti i tipi di pelle e, più specificamente, a pelli grasse e a tendenza acneica. Aiuta a calmare e lenire la pelle acneica e si ottengono i risultati migliori se lo si usa in combo con la purete acid cream. Nella sua formulazione troviamo l’estratto di salvia, un anti batterico naturale che riduce la presenza di punti neri e minimizza i pori.

Quest’estate sarà fantastica, la mia pelle non sarà lucida ma io brillerò come una stella grazie a World of Beauty!

Eye makeup look mint and lavender

I really love pastel shades and I think this is the perfect season to use them, so today’s look is a pastel dream and it complements fair skin really well!

I started by blending a matte green in the outer corner of my eyes and I brought it up in my crease as well; I defused it very well because I didn’t want it to be too vibrant, I just wanted a wash of color in my crease. I went over the edges with a slightly lighter shades of green to create a nice gradient. On my lid I applied a matte lavender and I blended it very well into the green previously placed in the outer corner.

I picked a matte white as my browbone highlighter, and I picked a colourful eyeliner to complete this look, and that was it, I hope you like it!

Mi piacciono molto I toni pastello e credo che questo sia il periodo ideale per usarli, quindi  il look di oggi è tutto giocato sui toni pastello che stanno bene con la carnagione chiara!

Ho iniziato sfumando un verde opaco nell’angolo esterno dell’occhio e l’ho anche portato nella piega dell’occhio; l’ho sfumato molto bene perché non volevo che fosse troppo intenso, volevo solo un tocco di colore nella piega. Sono andata sui contorni con una tonalità di verde leggermente più chiara per creare una sfumatura omogenea. Sulla palpebra mobile ho applicato un ombretto opaco color lavanda e l’ho sfumato bene dove si incontrava con il verde precedentemente applicato nell’angolo esterno.

Ho usato un bianco opaco come illuminante dell’arcata sopraccigliare, e ho scelto un eyeliner colorato per completare il look, ed è tutto, spero vi piaccia!

Loopy loops nail art

Hi fairies,

for this nail art you just have to pick three colors you like and a striping brush, it’s easy to do and it looks really cool! I decided to paint loops on my ring and middle finger but you can draw them on just one accent nail or on all your nails, it’s up to you; of course doing it on all your nails is more time consuming but it’s worth it in my opinion.

I painted my ring and middle finger with two holographic nail polishes dividing the nail in two, and then I painted half circles on both sides. This will give the illusion of having loops going down your nails. That’s it, I hope you like it!

Per questa nail art dovete solo scegliere tre colori che vi piacciono e uno striping brush, è facile da fare ed è veramente carina! Ho deciso di disegnare i semicerchi sull’anulare e sul medio, ma potete farli solo su un accent nail oppure su tutte le unghie, scegliete voi; ovviamente farli su tutte le unghie porta via più tempo ma secondo me vale assolutamente la pena.

Ho usato due smalti olografici sull’anulare e sul medio e ho diviso l’unghia in due, poi ho disegnato dei semicerchi su entrambi i lati alternando i colori. Questo darà l’illusione di un nastro che scorre lungo tutta l’unghia. È tutto, spero vi piaccia!

Eye makeup look rusty copper

I like matching warm shades on the lid with a touch of cold in the lower lashline, it looks great in summer and it’s one of my go to! I started by applying a matte peach eyeshadow in the crease as my transition shade and I blended it very well; I added a caramel eyeshadow to give more depth to the crease and I blended into the previous shade. On my lid I applied a shimmery copper eyeshadow and I blended the edges upwards to defuse any harsh lines. In the outer corner I applied a bit of a shimmery red, while in the inner corner I went for a yellow eyeshadow. In my lower lashline I used a bright shimmery aqua pigment, and I completed the look with a winged liner and some mascara, and that was it, I hope you like it!

Mi piace abbinare tonalità calde sulla palpebral mobile con un tocco di un colore freddo nella rima inferiore, è perfetto per l’estate e lo faccio spesso! Ho iniziato applicando un ombretto opaco color pesca nella piega come colore di transizione e l’ho sfumato molto bene; ho aggiunto un ombretto color caramello per dare maggior profondità alla piega e l’ho sfumato nel colore già presente. Sulla palpebra mobile ho applicato un ombretto color rame con microglitter dorati e ho sfumato i contorni verso l’alto per eliminare eventuali linee nette. Nell’angolo esterno ho aggiunto un pizzico di rosso luminoso, mentre nell’angolo interno ho scelto un ombretto giallo. Nella rima inferiore ho usato un pigmento azzurro intenso e luminoso,  e ho completato il look con una riga di eyeliner e del mascara, ed è tutto, spero vi piaccia!

This is a super easy and actually simple nail art, I wasn’t sure it was worth posting it but then I decided to post it because most people are interested in these kind of patterns, super easy to do, rather than complicated ones! The background is a very dark blue, almost black nail polish that represents sky at night, and I used a silver nail polish to paint some tiny stars on my medium and ring finger, and that was actually it, I hope you like it!

Questa nail art è facilissima e anche molto semplice, non ero sicura che valesse la pena pubblicarla ma poi ho deciso di farlo perchè la maggior parte di voi sono interessate a questo tipo di disegni, facilissimi da fare, piuttosto che a quelli molto complessi! Lo sfondo è uno smalto blu scuro, quasi nero, che rappresenta il cielo di notte, e sul medio e sull’anulare ho usato uno smalto color argento per disegnare delle piccole stelle, ed è praticamente tutto, spero vi piaccia!

I really love this color combo, I think it’s underrated while it actually looks really good on many skin tones and, depending on what shade of purple you use, it can look more wearable or more dramatic.

I started by applying a matte lavender eyeshadow in my crease just to give some depth to my crease and to start building a nice gradient. In the lower half of my crease I blended a slightly darker shade of purple and I brought it in the inner and outer corner of my eye as well. In the middle of my lid I applied a matte, bright yellow eyeshadow and I defused the edges. In the inner and outer corner I applied a matte grape purple eyeshadow, and I also added a purple with a warm undertone in my crease because I thought it gave a nice touch to the whole look. I completed the look with a winged liner and some mascara, and that was it, I hope you like it!

Mi piace molto questa combinazione di colori, penso sia sottovalutata quando, invece, sta bene con molte tonalità di pelle e, a seconda del tipo di viola che si usa, può risultare più portabile o più drammatico.

Ho iniziato applicando un ombretto opaco color lavanda nella piega semplicemente per dargli un po’ di profondità e cominciare a realizzare una sfumatura omogenea. Nella metà inferiore della piega ho sfumato una tonalità leggermente più scura di viola e l’ho portato anche nell’angolo interno ed esterno dell’occhio. Al centro della palpebra ho applicato un ombretto giallo e ne ho sfumato i contorni. Nell’angolo interno ed esterno ho applicato un viola scuro opaco, e ho anche aggiunto un viola dal sottotono caldo nella piega perché ho pensato che fosse il tocco che mancava al makeup. Ho completato il look con una riga di eyeliner e del mascara, ed è tutto, spero vi piaccia!

One product review illamasqua mono eyeshadow

Illamasqua is not an easy brand to find in Italy and many of you may not be familiar with it, it’s got some great products though and I’ve just started to try some of them. In Uk is more popular and when I’m there, which is quite often, I buy one or two pieces.

Today I’ll tell you my opinion of one of their mono eyeshadow. They come in different finishes but I’ve tried just one so far, a shimmery one. Let’s see how they’re described: Each of these glorious colours makes a statement that is as individual as you are. Highly pigmented, prepare for an intensity that's not just colour-true but extremely long-lasting. Experiment and be bold. Price 16.50 £.

What I like: I love the packaging, it’s unique and edgy but classy at the same time, it’s not bulky and it’s got a see through lid. The color I chose is a rich antique gold with a touch of platinum that brightens up any look without being too flashy. I’ve been very impressed by the buttery texture, it resembles a creamy eyeshadow, it looks like liquid gold. There’s no fall out at all, it’s not flaky, it’s so soft at touch. You can apply it with your finger and press it on the lid but a synthetic brush would work just as well, it’s just a matter of personal preference. Once applied it looks very vibrant and it gives that wet look so trendy at the moment. It doesn’t crease and it stays on all day. I’m really curious to try other textures of this brand.

What I don’t like: it’s quite expensive for a mono eyeshadow, but the quality is really high so the price is fair. Obviously if you don’t have many eyeshadows you might prefer to invest on palettes or cheaper monos to grow your collection and I couldn’t blame you for that.

My verdict: I want to try more shades, this eyeshadow is a great one, super pigmented, buttery and long lasting, I’ve been really loving it!

Illamasqua non è un marchio facile da trovare in Italia e molte di voi probabilmente non lo conoscono bene, ma ci sono dei validi prodotti in gamma che ho cominciato a provare da poco. In Inghilterra è più diffuso e quando vado lì, piuttosto spesso, ne acquisto uno o due pezzi.

Oggi vi parlo di uno dei loro ombretti mono. Ci sono diversi finish ma io finora ne ho provato solo uno, dalla finitura shimmer. Vediamo come vengono descritti: ognuno di questi magnifici colori è unico proprio come te. Molto pigmentati, preparatevi per un’intensità che non  è solo la stessa di quella che vedete in cialda, ma ha una durata estrema. Sperimentate e siate audaci. Prezzo 16.50 £.

Cosa mi piace: mi piace il packaging che, secondo me, è elegante, unico e innovativo al tempo stesso, non è ingombrante e ha il coperchio trasparente. Il colore che ho scelto è un oro antico con un tocco di platino che illumina qualsiasi look senza essere troppo appariscente. Sono stata molto colpita dalla sua consistenza burrosa, è simile a un ombretto in crema, sembra oro liquido. Non c’è assolutamente fall out, non è farinoso ed è morbidissimo quando lo si tocca. Lo si può applicare con le dita e picchiettarlo sulla palpebra, ma un pennello sintetico funziona altrettanto bene, è solo una questione di preferenza personale. Una volta applicato la pigmentazione è molto intensa e dà quell’effetto bagnato tanto di moda. Non va nelle pieghette e dura tutto il giorno. Sono molto curiosa di provare altri finish di questa linea.

Cosa non mi piace: è piuttosto costoso per essere un ombretto mono, ma la qualità è molto alta quindi secondo me il prezzo è giustificato. Ovviamente se non avete molti ombretti potreste preferire l’acquisto di una palette o di ombretti singoli meno cari, e io lo capisco perfettamente.

Il mio verdetto: voglio provare altri colori, quest’ombretto è fantastico, molto pigmentato, burroso e a lunga durata, me ne sono innamorata!

Pastel rainbow nail art

I would describe this nail art as kawaii and girly, I really love it because it’s colourful and soft, do you? I first applied a white nail polish on all my nails, because white makes colors pop, and once it was dry I used a sponge to create the pastel rainbow: I coated the sponge with nail polish and I dabbed it on each nail twice or three times, till the color pay off was good.

With white I drew some tiny stars and some random dots and that was it, I hope you like it!

Descriverei questa nail art come kawaii e molto femminile, mi piace molto perchè è colorata e delicata, e a voi piace? Prima ho applicato dello smalto bianco su tutte le unghie, perché il bianco fa risaltare meglio i colori e, una volta asciutto, ho usato una spugnetta per realizzare l’arcobaleno sui toni pastello: ho steso lo smalto sulla spugna e l’ho poi picchiettata su ogni unghia, due o tre volte, fino ad ottenere l’intensità desiderata.

Con del bianco ho disegnato qualche stellina e qualche puntino, ed è tutto, spero vi piaccia!

Eye makeup look : a touch of blue

For this look I’ve started by blending a matte medium brown in the crease which was my transition color, and then I applied a matte navy blue in the outer corner and I blended the edges very well. On the rest of my lid I applied a matte lavender color, it’s very pale but it shows just enough to give a dreamy twist to the look! I then went back to my crease and I added a bit more of brown to further define it . in the inner corner I added some glitters, and I completed the look with a winged liner and mascara, and that was it, I hope you like it!

Per questo look ho cominciato ad applicare un ombretto marrone opaco medio nella piega come colore di transizione, e poi ho applicato un ombretto opaco blu scuro nell’angolo esterno e ne ho sfumato I contorni molto bene. Sul resto della palpebra mobile ho applicato un ombretto opaco color lavanda molto chiaro, che si vede quel tanto che basta per dare un’aria sognante al look! Sono poi tornata ad occuparmi della piega e ho aggiunto un po’ di marrone per definirla ulteriormente. Nell’angolo interno ho aggiunto dei glitter, e ho completato il look con una riga di eyeliner e del mascara, ed è tutto, spero vi piaccia!
