Eye makeup look peaches and charcoal

Hi fairies,

For this look I used a light shade on my lid and dark colors in my crease, I didn’t do a classic smoky eye but the result is just as dramatic!

I started by applying a light grey in the crease as a transition color and I defused it very well, I then used a charcoal grey on a smaller blending brush and I applied it on top of the light grey. I picked the light grey again and I used it to blend the edges of the darker shade.

When I work with dark colors I usually clean my lid by applying a thin layer of concealer, that also helps to give the shape I want and it provides a sticky base for eyeshadows, and that’s what I did for this makeup; on top of concealer I patted a peach pigment with golden microglitter, and I completed the look with a winged liner and mascara, and that was it, I hope you like it!

Per il look di oggi ho usato un colore chiaro sulla palpebra e dei colori scuri nella piega dell’occhio, non ho realizzato un classico smokey eye ma il risultato è ugualmente drammatico!
ho iniziato applicando un ombretto grigio chiaro nella piega dell’occhio come colore di transizione e l’ho sfumato molto bene, poi ho usato un grigio scuro e l’ho applicato sopra il grigio chiaro con un pennello da sfumatura più piccolo. Ho ripreso il grigio chiaro e l’ho usato per sfumare i contorni del colore più scuro.

Quando lavoro con colori scuri, di solito pulisco la palpebra applicando uno strato sottile di correttore, che mi aiuta anche a dare la forma voluta e, inoltre, agisce da base cremosa per gli ombretti, e questo è quello che ho fatto per questo makeup; sopra al correttore ho picchiettato un pigmento color pesca con microglitter dorati all’interno, e ho completato il look con una riga di eyeliner e del mascara, ed è tutto, spero vi piaccia!

Mac Faerie Whispers limited edition is still my favorite, the following limited editions didn’t appeal me at all; this one was magical, whimsical and unique, I hope Mac will come out with something similar soon.

I bought two face powders out of this collection, and today I want to talk about the iridescent pressed powder in sparkling rose: it comes in the classic black Mac packaging, it’s a pressed powder with a pink tint to it. I bought it thinking I could have used it as face powder but it doesn’t work well with my skin tone, it’s too pigmented and pink even though it’s quite sheer. I’m very fair so it must be because of that, I’m sure it would work better on darker skin tones, although it will look ashy on very deep complexions as it’s got a cold undertone.  It’s not chalky, the texture is fine and it applies really easily. I love using it as highlighter with a very light hand, there’s no glitter in it but my skin looks very glowy and healthy.

It’s not a product I needed, but I’m happy to have it in my collection!

La collezione limitata Faerie Whispers rimane la mia preferita,  le edizioni limitate successive non mi hanno conquistato; questa era magica, estrosa e unica,  spero che Mac proponga qualcosa di simile nel prossimo futuro.

vivi la tua fiaba con riflessi incantati ispirati dal mondo segreto e meraviglioso delle fate. La pelle appare morbida ed eterea grazie a rosa polverosi e a tonalità neutre illuminate da perlescenze. Illumina gli occhi con le nuove tonalità dei foiled shadows da usare asciutti o bagnati.

Io ho comprato due polveri viso di questa collezione, e oggi vi parlo della polvere compatta iridescente in sparkling rose: il packaging è quello nero, classico di Mac,  è una polvere compatta con un tocco di rosa al suo interno. L’avevo comprata pensando di usarla come cipria, ma per la mia carnagione non va bene, è troppo pigmentata e rosata anche se è abbastanza sheer. Io sono molto pallida quindi penso che il motivo sia questo, credo che su carnagioni più scure potrebbe funzionare come cipria, ma su quelle molto intense risulterebbe grigia perché ha un sottotono freddo. Non è polverosa, la grana è sottile e si applica molto facilmente. Mi piace usarla come illuminante e la applico con mano leggera, non ha glitter all’interno e rende la pelle luminosa e sana.

Non è un prodotto necessario, ma sono contenta di averla nella mia collezione!

Lightning bolt nail art

I love rain sooo much, especially when it’s thundering and lightning! Do you like it? Today I painted some lightning on my nails and I really like how it came out. I used a sponge and three different colors, blue, periwinkle and lavender to create a gradient. I applied them on my sponge and then I dabbed it on each nail twice to get the color pay off I was looking for. With a small detail nail art brush and white acrylic paint I painted my lightning, which is very easy to do as lines don’t have to be straight and there’s no rules to follow. I hope you like it and you’ll give it a try!

I temporali  mi piacciono tantissimo, specialmente quando sono accompagnati da lampi e tuoni! A voi piacciono? Oggi ho disegnato dei lampi sulle unghie e mi piace molto il risultato. Ho usato una spugnetta e tre colori diversi, blu scuro, pervinca e lavanda per creare un effetto sfumato. Li ho applicati sulla spugnetta che ho poi picchiettato su ogni unghia per due volte, in modo da ottenere l’intensità che volevo. Con un pennellino da nail art e del colore acrilico bianco ho dipinto i tuoni in modo molto semplice, le linee non devono essere dritte e non ci sono regole da seguire. Spero vi piaccia e che proviate a farla anche voi!

One product review kiko eyebrow fibers colored mascara

Do you use a brow mascara? I do, it helps filling in areas where my brows aren’t even and it keeps them in place all day. I don’t feel like buying a high end one though, I think low cost ones work just fine, I have actually repurchased this one several times already and I will when I finish it.

Let’s see how it’s described: Coloured, fiber-enriched brow mascara for thick, polished brows. The formula contains panthenol, a protective agent.  The gel creates eyebrows that are well-defined, naturally thick and delicate. The colour is pure and uniform. Price 7.20 €.

What I like: it’s available in seven shades, from light ash blonde to black, it’s easy to find the one for you. It comes with a classic mascara spoolie, perfect to follow your eyebrows shape, that doesn’t pick too much product or lumps of product. It takes few seconds to apply it and color your brows in a very natural way, you don’t need any particular skill and you don’t need to be a pro, everybody can use it. It fills in any small gap you might have. It lasts all day, it doesn’t smudge not even when it’s very hot. It doesn’t get dry when it sets but it keeps your eyebrows in place.

What I don’t like: if you have very thin brows the spoolie might be too big and you might get some product on your skin. It’s easily fixable though, you can clean it with a q-tip and you’ll be good to go.

My verdict:  my favorite eyebrows mascara, I definitely recommend it, it’s easy to use and the result is natural.

Usate un mascara per le sopracciglia? Io sì, mi aiuta a riempire i punti in cui le sopracciglia non sono uniformi e a tenerle a posto tutto il giorno. Tuttavia non sono disposta a spendere molto per questo tipo di prodotto, perché penso che ce ne siano di low cost che fanno benissimo il loro dovere, ad esempio ho riacquistato quello di cui sto per parlarvi diverse volte e lo rifarò una volta terminato.

Vediamo come viene descritto: Mascara colorato con fibre per sopracciglia pettinate e riempite. La formula contiene pantenolo dall’azione protettiva. La texture in gel definisce le sopracciglia in maniera precisa e dona un effetto riempitivo naturale e delicato.Il rilascio colore è omogeneo e uniforme. Prezzo 7.20 €.

Cosa mi piace: disponibile in sette colorazioni, dal biondo cenere al nero, sarà facile trovare quella che fa per voi. È dotato di un classico applicatore per mascara, ideale per seguire la forma delle vostre sopracciglia, che non preleva troppo prodotto e non si copre di grumi. Ci vogliono pochi secondi per colorare le sopracciglia in modo naturale, non servono doti particolari e non serve essere esperte, tutti possono riuscirci. Riempie gli eventuali spazi vuoti che ci sono. Dura tutto il giorno, non cola nemmeno quando fa molto caldo. Non diventa secco quando si fissa, ma tiene le sopracciglia in ordine per tutto il giorno.

Cosa non mi piace: se avete delle sopracciglia molto sottili l’applicatore potrebbe risultare troppo grande e potreste sporcare la pelle di prodotto. Il problema, però, si risolve usando semplicemente un cotton fioc, e siete pronte per affrontare la giornata.

Il mio verdetto: è il mio mascara per sopracciglia preferito, lo consiglio vivamente, è semplice da usare e dona un risultato naturale.

Eye makeup look dreaming in purple

For this look I used one of my current favorite purple eyeshadow, it’s a cool purple packed with blue, fuchsia and silver microglitter that sparkle when the light hits them! I first used a white creamy base to make my eyeshadows pop, and then I applied a mauve pink eyeshadow in my crease with a fluffy brush. I then went over this eyeshadow with a fuchsia one and I blended it very well. On my lid I applied the gorgeous purple eyeshadow and I blended the edges without bringing the color up because I didn’t want to cover the fuchsia I previously applied. I used a matte cream eyeshadow as my browbone highlighter, and I completed the look with a winged line and mascara, and that was it, I hope you like it!

Per questo look ho usato uno dei miei ombretti viola preferiti del momento, è un viola freddo pieno di glitter blu, fucsia e argento che luccicano quando vengono colpiti dalla luce! Come prima cosa ho usato una base cremosa bianca per far risaltare al massimo i colori degli ombretti, e poi ho applicato un ombretto rosa malva nella piega dell’occhio con un pennello largo da sfumatura. Sopra questo colore ho usato un ombretto fucsia che ho sfumato molto bene. Sulla palpebra ho applicato il bellissimo ombretto viola e ne ho sfumato i contorni senza portare il colore troppo in alto perché non volevo coprire il fucsia applicato in precedenza. Ho usato un ombretto opaco color crema come illuminante dell’arcata sopraccigliare, e ho completato il look con una riga di eyeliner e del mascara, ed è tutto, spero vi piaccia!

Classy heart nail art

Today’s nails are very simple and classy, perfect if you don’t like super colourful and complicated nail art but you still want something cute for valentine’s day. All you have to do is to choose two nail polish, a dark one and a light one, in  the same color range. I picked a blue one and a periwinkle one. I painted all my nails in blue apart from my ring finger where I applied two coats of periwinkle nail polish. With the blue nail polish and a dotting tool I added a row of dots in the middle of my ring finger and, just below that, to one side, I painted a tiny dark blue heart, and that was it, I hope you like it!

Le unghie di oggi sono molto semplici ed eleganti, perfette se non amate le nail art complicate e super colorate ma avete comunque voglia di qualcosa di carino per San Valentino. Tutto quello che dovete fare è scegliere due smalti, uno chiaro e uno scuro, nella stessa gamma colore. Io ho scelto uno smalto blu scuro e uno color pervinca. Ho usato quello blu scuro su tutte le unghie tranne che sull’anulare, dove ho dato due passate di smalto pervinca. Con lo smalto blu scuro e un dotting tool ho disegnato una fila di pois alla metà dell’anulare e, appena sotto, da un lato, ho aggiunto un cuoricino blu, ed è tutto, spero vi piaccia!

Eye makeup look tiffany

Today’s makeup is simple and very beautiful in my opinion, as it features one of my favorite colors, tiffany green! To me it’s a wearable shade but I understand it’s not for everybody, especially if you’re not used to pastel shades. I started by applying a caramel eyeshadow in the crease using a fluffy blending brush, and this was my transition color and it gave a bit of warmth to the whole look. I deepened the outer corner of the crease with a dark brown eyeshadow, and then I patted on my entire lid a matte tiffany eyeshadow. I chose a slightly shimmery cream eyeshadow as my browbone highlighter, and then I drew a glittery line as eyeliner; I also added a dark winged line as close as possible to my lashline, and I completed the look with some mascara, and that was it , I hope you like it!

Il trucco di oggi è molto semplice e , secondo me, molto bello , dal momento che ha come protagonista uno dei miei colori preferiti, il verde tiffany! È un colore portabile per me , ma capisco che non è così per tutti, specialmente se non si è abituati ad usare colori pastello. Ho iniziato applicando un ombretto color caramello nella piega usando un pennello largo da sfumatura, e questo è stato il mio colore di transizione e ha anche aggiunto una nota calda a tutto il look. Ho intensificato l’angolo esterno della piega con un ombretto marrone scuro, e poi ho picchiettato un ombretto opaco color tiffany su tutta la palpebra mobile. Ho scelto un ombretto color crema leggermente luminoso come illuminante dell’arcata sopraccigliare, e poi ho tracciato una riga di eyeliner glitterata; ho anche aggiunto una linea di eyeliner nero il più vicino possibile all’attaccatura delle ciglia, e ho completato il look con del mascara, ed è tutto,spero vi piaccia!
