Eye makeup look golden sea

It’s summer now and I know many of you long to go to the seaside and they dream of sea colors; I hope this makeup will help you daydream about summer and the sea!

I started blending a matte teal in my crease with a fluffy brush, I used two shades of teal to create more depth and I kept blending to defuse any harsh edges;  with a small brush I added a matte purple in my crease and I blended it very well. I used concealer to cut my crease, and also as a sticky base for eyeshadows. In the inner and outer corner I applied a metallic blue eyeshadow and in  the middle I applied a golden eyeshadow blending where the two colors met. I completed the look with a winged liner and some mascara, and that was it, I hope you like it!

siamo in estate e so che molte di voi bramano di andare in spiaggia e sognano I colori del mare; spero che questo makeup vi aiuti a sognare il mare e l’estate ad occhi aperti!

Ho cominciato sfumando un ombretto opaco verde azzurro nella piega dell’occhio con un pennello da sfumatura, e ho usato due tonalità di questo colore per dare maggiore profondità, continuando a sfumare per eliminare eventuali righe nette; con un pennello di precisione ho aggiunto un ombretto viola opaco nella piega e l’ho sfumato molto bene. Ho usato un po’ di correttore per definire la piega dell’occhio, e inoltre mi è servito come base cremosa per gli ombretti. Nell’angolo interno ed esterno della palpebra mobile ho applicato un ombretto azzurro metallizzato e, nel centro, ho usato un ombretto dorato e poi sono andata a sfumare dove i due colori si incontravano. Ho completato il look con una riga di eyeliner e del mascara, ed è tutto, spero vi piaccia!

Jeffree Star Blue Blood Palette Review

Today we’ll talk about Jeffree Star’s Blue Blood palette, a ray of sunshine in a sea of neutral palettes, a dream for cold shades lovers like me! I purchased it as soon as it was released because I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw a palette with so many blue shades!

Let’s see how it’s described:  Please welcome Blood Sugar's icy big sister, the Blue Blood Palette! 18 eyeshadow and pressed pigment shades of stunning blues, mints and peaches. . Enclosed in a metal clasp palette inspired by high-end jewelry boxes & caskets. One of a kind and extremely pigmented! Price 52.99 $

What I like: let’s start with the obvious: I love the color range because it goes from mint green, light blue, two of my favorite shades of all time, to charcoal grey, dark blue, glittery dark blue, and there are also some transitions shades such as pale pink and light apricot so you have everything you need in one palette.

The packaging is very Jeffree if we could say so, and I like it, it’s sturdy and there’s a big mirror inside. Matte eyeshadows are very pigmented, buildable and not patchy and they stay on all day without fading nor creasing. They’re also easy to blend and to work with. Glittery shades are pigmented, they look a bit more glittery in the pan but I’m quite satisfied with how they look once applied.

I love how unique this palette is, I use these shades really often and it’s not easy to find a palette like this as neutrals and warm shades are what people use the most, I’m glad Jeffree didn’t follow the trend and came out with this palette.

What I don’t like: there’s almost anything I don’t like about this palette, but if I have to find it a fault I’d say there’s a bit of fall out with both matte and glittery shades.

My verdict: I’ve been using it a lot, I really love it and I would definitely repurchase it. If you’re tired of neutrals and you love blues that’s the palette for you!

Oggi vi parlerò della palette Blue Blood di Jeffree Star, un raggio di sole in un mare di palette di colori neutri, un sogno per chi ama i toni freddi come me! L’ho comprata non appena è uscita perché non riuscivo a credere ai miei occhi quando ho visto una palette con così tante tonalità di blu!

Vediamo come viene descritta: date il benvenuto alla sorella maggiore di Blue Icy,  la palette Blue Blood! 18 ombretti e pigmenti pressati in tonalità di stupendi blu,  verde menta e pesca. Racchiusa in una palette che si ispira a lussuosi porta gioie e alla forma di una bara. Unica e molto pigmentata! Prezzo 52.00 $.

Cosa mi piace: iniziamo con una cosa ovvia: mi piace la gamma colori perché va dal verde menta al celeste, due dei miei colori preferiti, al grigio antracite, al blu scuro, al blu scuro glitterato, e ci sono anche dei colori di transizione come un rosa pallido e un color pesca quindi abbiamo tutto il necessario in un’unica palette.

Il packaging è tipico di Jeffree se così possiamo dire, e mi piace, è solido e contiene un grosso specchio al suo interno. Gli ombretti opachi sono molto pigmentati, modulabili e non creano macchie, hanno un’ottima tenuta nell’arco della giornata, non sbiadiscono e non vanno nelle pieghette. Sono anche facili da sfumare e da applicare. Gli ombretti glitterati sono pigmentati, nelle cialde sembrano più glitterati di quando si applicano sulla palpebra, ma sono comunque soddisfatta della resa.

Mi piace l’unicità di questa palette, contiene colori che uso spesso e non è facile trovare una palette che li contenga perché i colori neutri e caldi la fanno da padrone dato che sono quelli che, in linea di massima, vengono più usati, e sono felice che Jeffree abbia deciso di osare e di non seguire i trend più in voga.

Cosa non mi piace: non c’è quasi niente che non mi piace di questa palette, ma se devo trovarle un difetto direi che sia gli ombretti opachi che quelli glitterati sono un po’ polverosi, ma niente di drammatico.

Il mio verdetto: la sto usando molto, mi piace tanto e la ricomprerei senza pensarci due volte. Se siete stanchi dei colori neutri e amate le varie tonalità di blu questa è la palette che fa per voi!

Eye makeup look sparkly teal

It’s been a while since I’ve used teal, I use it more often in summer and today I felt in the mood for something bold with one of my favorite color!
In the crease I used a matte peach eyeshadow because the contrast of warm and cold shades makes the look more cohesive, I know it sounds weird but it does work! On the lid I applied a bright teal eyeshadow and I didn’t bring it up into my crease, I defused the edges with a small blending brush without bringing the color up. In the inner and outer corner of my lid I patted a tiny bit of a darker teal to give more definition to the look. I completed the look with a winged liner and some mascara, and that was it, I hope you like it!

È passato un po’ di tempo da quando ho usato il turchese, d’estate lo uso più spesso e oggi mi sentivo in vena di osare qualcosa di intenso con uno dei miei colori preferiti!
Nella piega dell’occhio ho applicato un ombretto opaco color pesca perché il contrasto fra tonalità fredde e calde rende il look più uniforme, so che sembra strano ma funziona davvero! Sulla palpebra mobile ho applicato un ombretto di un turchese intenso e non l’ho portato nella piega, ne ho sfumato i contorni con un pennello piccolo da sfumatura senza portare il colore verso l’alto. Nell’angolo interno e esterno dell’occhio ho picchiettato una punta di un ombretto di un turchese più scuro per rendere il look più definito. Ho completato con una riga di eyeliner e del mascara, ed è tutto, spero vi piaccia!

One product review sephora concealer

Today we’ll talk about Sephora concealer, an affordable liquid concealer I purchased a while ago and that I’ve been using for the last month. I’ve tried few Sephora brand’s products and I think they’re quite good and they perform well for the price point, do you agree with me?

Let’s see how it’s described: What it is: 
A lightweight concealer that covers and brightens to help you fake a more alert appearance in seconds.


What it does: 
This lightweight gel serum concealer provides buildable coverage and color without adding texture to your skin or settling into fine lines. Infused with pineapple extract, the gel-serum formula brightens and improves skin texture as it covers, making it ideal for the under-eye area. The unique applicator ensures the perfect amount of product—just dip, dot, and blend.

Bonus: 
This concealer has the widest shade range currently available at Sephora, so it’s easy to find the perfect match for every skin tone. 

Price 14.00 $.

What I like: it’s lightweight yet pigmented, it’s easy to blend, it doesn’t dry too fast nor too slow and, most of all, it doesn’t set into fine lines. My issue with concealers is exactly that some of them creases a lot so when I find one that doesn’t do that I’m really happy. It provides good coverage without looking cakey, it stays on for several hours, it can be used to brighten the undereye area and to cover up blemishes. In my opinion is comparable to Nars radiant creamy concealer, which is one of my favorite concealers of all time, but this one’s way more affordable.

What I don’t like: being lightweight it wouldn’t cover up acne scars or severe discoloration, if you need that this one won’t do. It might start to crease a bit after wearing it all day long, but it doesn’t for 5-6 hours which is good to me.

My verdict: a good concealer that does what I need from these kind of products, good quality price ratio, I’ll repurchase it for sure!

Oggi parliamo del correttore di Sephora, un correttore liquido non costoso che ho comprato un po’ di tempo fa e che sto usando da circa un mese. Ho provato altri prodotti del marchio Sephora in passato e ritengo che abbiano un buon rapporto qualità prezzo e che abbiano una buona resa, non credete anche voi?

Vediamo come viene descritto:

Cosa mi piace: è leggero ma pigmentato, è facile da sfumare, non si asciuga troppo velocemente né troppo lentamente e, cosa più importante di tutti, non si infila nelle pieghette. Il mio problema con i correttori è che alcuni vanno a segnare molto il contorno occhi quindi quando ne trovo uno che non lo fa sono felice. Dona una buona coprenza senza appesantire troppo, dura diverse ore e si può usare per illuminare la zona del contorno occhi o coprire qualche imperfezione. Secondo me si può comparare al Nars creamy concealer che è uno dei miei correttori preferiti in assoluto, ma questo costa molto meno.

Cosa mi piace: essendo leggero non riesce a coprire cicatrici dell’acne o macchie della pelle di una certa rilevanza, se avete queste esigenze non è il prodotto che fa per voi. Dopo molte ore può iniziare a segnare le rughette del contorno occhi, ma resiste per 5-6 ore e per me questo è un buon risultato.

Il mio verdetto: un buon correttore che fa quello che chiedo a un prodotto di questo genere, ha un buon rapporto qualità prezzo, lo ricomprerò sicuramente!

One product review Besame cosmetics palette Peter Pan

As some of you might know I’m a Disney lover and my favorite movie is Peter Pan, so obviously when Besame Cosmetics launched a Peter Pan collection I had to grab some pieces!

Besame cosmetics is an American brand I follow on Instagram that makes makeup vintage inspired, they recreated some gorgeous vintage lipstick’s shades and they have launched a couple of Disney limited edition. Their makeup is quite expensive but the quality is good and packaging is very beautiful.

Today we’ll talk about the Peter Pan palette: it’s called treasure of the Lagoon shadow palette and it’s described as follows:  this special edition shadow palette from our 1953 Collection draws all of its colors and designs directly from the Ink and Paint cels of Mermaid Lagoon. These luxurious shadows provide an exciting array of choices and looks that draw inspiration from the tranquil and carefree ambience of the lagoon. The names of the colors refer to the original names of the actual paints used by the animators. Price 48 $.

What I like: being obsessed with Disney, I love the packaging with Peter Pan’s mermaids, it’s in pink plastic, compact, with a big mirror inside, perfect for travelling. There are eight pans inside and three eyeshadow finishes, matte, shimmer and holo.  Pans are quite big, matte aren’t powdery at all, I was actually very impressed with the texture and quality of these eyeshadows, some of the best I’ve ever tried! There are cold and warm shades that allow you to create very different eye makeup looks, you could even go for a total matte look if you like. Matte shades are a burnt orange, an eggplant purple, a dusty rose pink, a bright yellow and they all are very pigmented and easy to blend, I used them on my lid and in my crease and they work well regardless of what brush you use to apply them.  Sometimes very pigmented eyeshadows aren’t easy to blend but not these ones, they are just a dream to work with! Shimmer eyeshadows are equally great, they’re very pigmented, color pay off is amazing, there’s just a tiny bit of fall out, they don’t fade away during the day, I love them!

What I don’t like: I think the palette is missing a matte vanilla shade for the browbone area and also a taupe or light brown for the crease even though I used the orange as transition color, sometimes mixed with yellow and sometimes on its own, and it worked just fine.

My verdict: I totally recommend this palette for the quality of the eyeshadows and of course if you love Disney as much as I do this is a must have!

Come probabilmente alcune di voi sanno sono appassionata di Disney e il mio film preferito è Peter Pan, quindi quando Besame cosmetics ha fatto uscire una collezione dedicata a Peter Pan ho assolutamente dovuto acquistarne qualche pezzo!

Besame Cosmetics è un marchio americano che seguo su Instagram che realizza makeup ispirato al makeup vintage, hanno ricreato alcune bellissime tonalità vintage di rossetto e hanno lanciato delle limited edition in collaborazione con Disney. I loro prodotti sono abbastanza costosi ma la qualità è alta e il packaging è bellissimo ed estremamente curato.

Oggi parliamo della palette della collezione ispirata a Peter Pan: si chiama Treasure of The Lagoon palette, ed è descritta così: questa speciale palette che fa parte della nostra edizione limitata della collezione del 1953 prende tutti i suoi colori e il design direttamente dalle tavole della Laguna delle Sirene. Questi lussuosi ombretti forniscono un’eccitante variietà di scelte e look che si ispirano all’atmosfera tranquilla e spensierata della laguna. I nomi dei colori riprendono i nomi originali dei colori usati dagli animatori. Prezzo 48$.

Cosa mi piace: essendo una grande appassionata di Disney, adoro il packaging con le sirene, in plastica rosa, compatto, con un grande specchio all’interno, perfetta per viaggiare. All’interno troviamo otto cialde di ombretti in tre diversi finish, matte, shimmer e olografico. Le cialde sono piuttosto grandi, gli ombretti non sono affatto polverosi, sono stata molto colpita dalla loro qualità e dalla loro texture, sono tra i migliori che abbia mai provato! Ci sono tonalità calde e fredde che consentono di creare look molto diversi tra loro, anche alcuni completamente opachi se volete. Le tonalità opache sono un arancione bruciato, un viola melanzana, un rosa antico e un giallo intenso, tutti molto pigmentati e facili da sfumare, li ho usati sia sulla palpebra mobile che nella piega dell’occhio e sono facili da lavorare a prescindere dal pennello con il quale si applicano. A volte gli ombretti molto pigmentati sono difficili da sfumare, mentre questi sono un sogno!

Anche gli ombretti shimmer sono ottimi, sono pigmentati, sono leggermente polverosi, hanno una meravigliosa resa, non sbiadiscono nel corso della giornata, li amo!

Cosa non mi piace: a mio parere nella palette manca un colore vaniglia opaco da usare sotto l’arcata sopraccigliare e anche un color talpa o un marrone chiaro da sfumare nella piega, anche se a questo scopo ho usato l’arancione, a volte insieme al giallo e a volte da solo, e il risultato è stato buono.

Il mio verdetto: la consiglio assolutamente per la qualità degli ombretti e, ovviamente, a chi ama Disney come me!
