One product review besame cosmetics peter pan face powder

You probably know by now how much I love Disney and especially Peter Pan so you can imagine how excited I got for the Mermaid Lagoon Peter Pan Besame Cosmetics collection! It was launched last year but it’s still available on their website that’s why I’m talking about one of the products I purchased.

Besame Cosmetics is a unique makeup brand, I talked about the Peter Pan palette here, their makeup is great quality and the packaging is to die for if you’re a Disney lover! I’m waiting for a new order I’ve placed and it should be here any day now, it’s the Sleeping Beauty Collection and I’ll show you what I got as soon as it’s here!

Today I want to show you the Peter Pan face powder: The Mermaid Lagoon Pearl Shimmer Shell powder not only sets your makeup, but also creates a refined and polished finish to correct the tiniest complexion flaws.

The translucent appearance includes a subtle texture that shimmers like the pearls in the lagoon. The powder, embossed with mermaid tails and oceanic swirls, is packaged in a custom-designed shell. This shell, designed exclusively by Besame based on Disney concept art, is an authentic 3D replica of the mermaid shells seen in the classic animated film. Price 35.95 $

What I like: first of all the packaging is amazing! It’s a pearlescent shell, it looks like mother of pearl, it’s really beautiful and vintage and I love it! There’s a shell shaped mirror inside and  the packaging is compact and slim, perfect to keep it in your purse and for touch ups during the day. The powder is very silky and smooth, it doesn’t set into fine lines in fact it seems to smoothen them and give you a flawless look; it’s not chalky, there’s basically no fall out and it’s not cakey at all, the finish is totally natural. It says there’s a shimmer to it but it’s very subtle as I can barely see it. It doesn’t alter your foundation color. It sets makeup and it keeps it in place for several hours.

What I don’t like: it’s not matte and it doesn’t keep shine at bay, which is what I usually look for because of my oily skin. I don’t get shiny extremely fast, in winter it holds up quite well, but it’s not formulated for my skin type. it would look amazing on dry skin because it gives that natural glow it lacks of.

My verdict: it’s definitely a must have for makeup collectors and Disney lovers and it’s a good face powder, especially for normal to dry skin type. It’s not cheap but it’s a high quality product. Would I repurchase it? Yes, I would!

Ormai probabilmente sapete quanto io ami Disney e in particolar modo Peter Pan, quindi potete immaginare la mia gioia quando è uscita la collezione Mermaid Lagoon Peter Pan di Besame Cosmetics! L’uscita risale all’anno scorso ma sul sito è ancora disponibile, ecco perché oggi ho deciso di parlarvi di uno dei prodotti che ho acquistato.

Besame Cosmetics è un marchio unico nel suo genere, qui vi ho parlato della palette dedicata a Peter Pan, il loro makeup è di alta qualità e il packaging vi farà impazzire se amate Disney; sto aspettando un ordine che contiene prodotti della collezione dedicata alla Bella Addormentata e non vedo l’ora di riceverlo! Vi mostrerò tutto non appena lo riceverò.

Oggi vi parlerò della polvere viso della collezione Mermaid Lagoon: la  The Mermaid Lagoon Pearl Shimmer Shell powder non solo fissa il makeup, ma dona un finish pulito e perfetto che corregge anche le imperfezioni impercettibili.

La finitura trasparente include anche un leggero tocco luminoso che brilla come le perle nella laguna. La polvere, che ha code di sirene e flutti oceanici stampati in rilievo, è contenuta in un guscio di conchiglia creato specificamente per questa collezione. Questa conchiglia, realizzata in esclusiva da Besame Cosmetics su un disegno originale Disney, è la copia esatta delle conchiglie su cui sono adagiate le sirene nell’originale film Disney. Prezzo 35.95 $.

Cosa mi piace: prima di tutto devo dire che il packaging è bellissimo! È una conchiglia perlescente che ricorda la madreperla, ha quell’aria vintage che adoro! Il packaging è compatto e sottile, all’interno c’è uno specchio a forma di conchiglia, è quindi perfetta da tenere in borsa per eventuali ritocchi nel corso della giornata. La polvere è sottile e setosa e non si infila nelle pieghette, anzi sembra farle scomparire e dona un risultato impeccabile; non è polverosa, praticamente non si alza polvere quando la si preleva col pennello, e regala un risultato estremamente naturale. Nella descrizione si parla di un tocco luminoso ma è veramente molto delicato perché io riesco a malapena a vederlo. Non cambia il colore del vostro fondotinta. Fissa il trucco e lo mantiene impeccabile per diverse ore.

Cosa non mi piace: non è opaca e non tiene a bada la lucidità, che è quello che di solito cerco in una polvere viso dato che ho la pelle grassa. Non mi lucido velocemente, specialmente in inverno si comporta bene, ma non è un prodotto formulato per il mio tipo di pelle. Sulla pelle secca, secondo me, dà il meglio di sé perché dona quella luminosità naturale che, di solito, manca a questo tipo di pelle.

Il mio verdetto: è sicuramente un prodotto da avere per chi ama collezionare makeup e chi ama disney ed è un’ottima polvere viso, specialmente per chi ha la pelle secca. Non costa poco ma è un prodotto di qualità. La ricomprerei? Sicuramente sì!
