One product review : kiko automatic precision lip liner

You might be surprised but when it comes to lip pencils I don’t have to many, actually I wait till the ones I’ve got are too small to handle them before buying more, that’s why I’ve had few of them for years. I’ve bought quite a lot of lipsticks last year , and all of a sudden I realized I didn’t have matching lip pencils! I always wear lip liner, that’s why I had to buy some new lip pencils, and I tried kiko lip liners among others, and today I’m going to share my opinion about them.

What I like: the range of colors is wide and you will sure find the shade you were looking for! Not many drugstore brands offer you lip pencils in rouge noir or black violet, but Kiko does and that’s definitely awesome! I like that there’s a sharpener inside the cap , it’s easy to keep it sharp after you’ve used it. It’s got a soft and creamy texture that glides on your lips and allows you to draw a line without any struggle; you can easily redefine your lips shape with these pencils, and you won’t find going into corners difficult , because they’re very thin  . they’ve got a slight waxy consistency that really helps keep any lipstick in place, even the creamiest one! They’re very longlasting, on my lips they stay put up to 8 hours. 

What I don’t like: l’ve noticed the texture changes according to shades, basically the darker ones like the black violet for example, are a bit more chalky and they don’t write as well as other colors, I have to go over the line several times, and I don’t get a flawless result: color is patchy and uneven. It also breaks very easily, and there’s a waste of product. I think it depends on pigments used for darker colors, because red and pink ones don’t do that at all. 

My verdict: apart from dark ones, that I use anyway and I’m happy I bought it because I’ve been looking for those shades for ages, they are good lip liners, they keep lipstick in place, they make it last longer if applied all over your lips as a base, they won’t make it bleed, color range is remarkable, they’re easy to apply, they’re cheap and the quality price ratio is good, what’s not to love about them?!

vi sembrerà incredibile ma quando si tratta di matite labbra devo confessare che non ne ho tantissime, anzi in genere aspetto sempre di finire quelle che possiedo prima di comprarne di nuove, ecco perché ce ne sono alcune che sono nel mio cassetto da anni. L’anno scorso però ho comprato parecchi rossetti , e mi sono resa conto di non avere le matite labbra da abbinare! Io uso sempre la matita labbra, quindi capite bene che sono dovuta correre ai ripari ad acquistarne di nuove, e tra quelle che ho provato ci sono le Kiko precision lip liner, di cui vi parlerò oggi.

Cosa mi piace : la gamma di colori è molto ampia, e sicuramente troverete la tonalità che stavate cercando! Non molte marche economiche offrono matite labbra nei toni rouge noir e black velvet, ma Kiko ha pensato anche a chi ama i rossetti scuri, e questo è sicuramente un merito! Il temperino nel tappo è molto pratico, permette di tenere la punta sottile dopo ogni applicazione. La consistenza è cremosa e la matita è morbida, scivola sulle labbra e vi permette di tracciarne i contorni senza alcuno sforzo; anche ridefinire il contorno labbra è semplice con queste matite,avendo la punta finissima permettono di raggiungere gli angoli senza problemi! Hanno una consistenza leggermente cerosa che aiuta a non far sbavare il rossetto , anche il più cremoso, e a farlo durare più a lungo: sulle mie labbra durano fino a 8 ore!

Cosa non mi piace: ho notato che la consistenza cambia a seconda del colore, praticamente quelli più scuri come, ad esempio, black violet, sono un po’ più secchi degli altri e non scorrono benissimo sulle labbra : devo ripassare diverse volte e comunque non ottengo un tratto omogeneo e pieno, il colore è irregolare. Inoltre la mina si spezza con enorme facilità, quindi c’è uno spreco di prodotto. Credo dipenda dai pigmenti che servono per realizzare i colori scuri, perché le matite rosa e rosse sono completamente diverse.

Il mio verdetto: a parte le colorazioni più scure, che uso comunque e sono contenta di aver comprato perché le avevo cercate per tanto tempo, sono ottime matite labbra, prevengono le sbavature, se applicate su tutte le labbra come base prolungano la durata del rossetto, la gamma di colori è eccezionale, sono facili da applicare, permettono di tracciare linee precise, non costano molto ed hanno un buon rapporto qualità prezzo! Ditemi se non sono da amare!
