Skin 18 korean beauty face masks review

Hi fairies,
Last month I talked about a face mask I received from the Korean website skin18.com, and today I want to talk about two more face masks they sent me! Skin18 is an e-commerce where you can find lots of Korean beauty products for your skin care, for a glowy and healthy skin. I received these masks in a couple of weeks just like last time, shipping is always fast!

skin18_face_mask

I received a red ginseng face sheet mask and a collagen essence face sheet mask and I can’t wait to try them both!  Both masks fit my face and they are coated with product.

Using ginseng for face masks helps tone and energize your skin. The ingredients are supposed to provide a tightening effect, for a healthy and young looking skin. Ginseng is one of the plants more used in Korean skin care due to its properties, and it’s one of people’s favorite because it keeps the skin wrinkle- free and fresh! Many studies suggest ginseng can help delay the aging process and, therefore, minimize fine lines and prevent wrinkles to show up.

This mask is easy to apply, I put it on and I relaxed for about twenty minutes and, when I took it off, I could see my skin was glowy and it looked firm, pores were minimized, skin looked really clean and fresh, hydrated and soft,  I really love it!

skin18_face_mask

The dermal gold collagen essence mask is made with colloidal gold and hydrolized collagen and it claims to hydrate and brighten your skin. Colloidal gold promotes human metabolism and skin cell activity and it keeps your skin healthy and bright, protecting it from daily stress. There’s also vitamin E in it, which is known for keeping your skin soft and nourished.
I put it on and waited for about 20 minutes and, when I removed it, I massaged the leftover product into my skin. My skin felt hydrated, soft and relaxed, I think it looked replenished, plump, so it definitely gives that youthful look!
I’m very pleased with both masks and I think I’ll repurchase them!

I’ll leave you all their links:

Ciao fatine,

Eye makeup look shiny turquoise

Hi fairies,
This look is a sort of soft cut crease that reminds me of fairies and magic, in one word my favorite kind of look!
I first applied a matte cream eyeshadow all over the lid as a base and to help eyeshadows blend easier, and then I placed a shimmery emerald green in my inner corner; in the middle of my lid I applied a shimmery sky blue pigment and in the outer corner I applied a royal blue. I kept eyeshadows just below my natural crease and I slightly blended the edges with a pencil brush. With a purple eyeshadow I created a wing. I also added a tiny bit of acid green in my crease, without blending it too much, just to define the crease a bit better. I completed the look with a winged liner and mascara, and that was it, I hope you like it!

Ciao fatine,

One product review wet n wild venice beach palette

Hi fairies,
Here’s another low cost colourful palette, I love bright eyeshadows and I wanted to try this one too, I couldn’t resist! I thought it could have been great for travelling as it’s compact and it’s got the same shades of the Urban Decay electric palette, which is my favorite. It was a limited edition but it’s still available on some e-shops. There were three different palettes, I got the one called boardwalk boozing. Is it a good dupe for the electric palette?

wet_n_wild_venice_beach_review

What I like: I like the packaging as it’s very small and perfect to toss it in your purse without being bulky; the lid is see through so you can see the colors inside and there’s a tiny brush too. There are eight pans with different finishes, matte, satin and shimmer. It’s not easy to find low cost palettes with this color range so that’s definitely a plus. The color pay off isn’t the same for all shades, I’ll first tell you about the good ones, such as the neon orange, fuchsia and royal blue: as you can see they’re very pigmented, colors are bright and even and they’re not chalky nor patchy. They feel velvety at touch and there’s almost no fall out in the pan. For being low cost they are really good! They last 6-8 hours with an eyeshadow primer underneath.

wet_n_wild_venice_beach_review

What I don’t like: the yellow is sheer, you have to layer it up to get a good color pay off, it’s chalky and it applies unevenly. Both greens are sheer, the worst one is the acid green that can’t even compete with thrash in the electric palette, a super pigmented eyeshadow I love. This one is just dull and powdery. Same goes for the dark green and the silver, quality is poor just as the pigmentation.
This palette doesn’t even come close to the Electric palette, if you like bright shades you should definitely invest in the Electric one because all colors are pigmented, not powdery and easy to work with.

wet_n_wild_venice_beach_review

My verdict: I wouldn’t repurchase it. I’ve been disappointed and I rarely reach for it because I got better colors in my collection. If you rarely use neon shades maybe you might want a low cost palette like this one just to have bright eyeshadows at hand when needed.

Italian version:

Ciao fatine,

Eye makeup look silver glam

Hi fairies,
I really like how this look turned out, I think it would be perfect for summer evenings out, to eat out in a fancy restaurant or to go to a club, it’s super shimmery and girly!
I started by applying a light matte pink eyeshadow in my crease with a fluffy blending brush to even out my lid and blend other eyeshadows I was going to apply easily. With a smaller crease brush I placed a hot pink eyeshadow in my crease and then, with a pencil brush, I applied a blue purple eyeshadow with shimmer to it in the lower half of my crease. I blended it but I didn’t overlap the hot pink because I wanted it to show. On my lid I applied a shimmery silver pigment, cutting my crease slightly. I completed the look with a winged liner and mascara, and that was it, I hope you like it!

Ciao fatine,

One product review makeup obsession eyeshadows

Hi fairies,
I’ve found this brand on maquillalia, I had never heard of it before and when I saw how many shades were available I got so excited I wanted to buy them all! You can make your own customized palette, they sell empty ones and each pan can be placed in it, I think I will put one together soon! Pans are quite big and very inexpensive! You can make your own highlighter or contour palette as well, they have a wide range of shades. Each pan retails at 2.49 € for 2 grams.

What I like : I like their quality price ratio, they’re one of the cheapest eyeshadows on the market yet the quality is good. I think it’s very convenient they come with customizable palettes, I’m all for picking the colors I like the most and putting them all together! They come in different finishes, I tried matte and shimmer and they both perform good. The texture is velvety and not extremely powdery, I haven’t experienced heavy fall out when applying them. They are pigmented, not chalky, they are easy to blend and they don’t fade away when you blend them out. With an eyeshadow primer they last all day without vanishing or creasing.

What I don’t like: it’s hard to find cons to these eyeshadows, especially when you think of how cheap they are! I could say opening the lid is a bit tricky (if you don’t want to make your own palette you can keep them in their own packaging) but, apart from that, they’re pretty awesome!

makeup_obsession_eyeshadows_review

My verdict: I definitely recommend them, you will find a shade you like as they have matte nudes, shimmer and sparkly bright eyeshadows, you can’t go wrong with these products, they are wonderful!

Italian version:

Ciao fatine,

Cow nail art

Hi fairies,
I didn’t have much time to do my nails this time so I went for a cute, funny and really easy nail art! You don’t have to be precise, if you make a mistake no one will notice, so why don’t give it a try?! It took me ten minutes to do it, I swear!
I painted all my nails with white nail polish and on my ring finger and thumb I drew a pink half circle at the tip of my nails, which is the cow’s nose; with a dotting tool I added two tiny black dots in the middle of my nails which are its eyes, and then I added some black spots on top, where there was room. On the rest of my nails I just drew random black spots, to mimic a cow’s fur, and that was it, I hope you like it!

Ciao fatine,

Eye makeup look sofia the first

Hi fairies,
This makeup is inspired by Sofia the First, one of my favorite cartoon characters! It can be worn without dots in the crease, but I wanted to recreate a makeup that really reminded me of her so I came up with this look.
I applied a matte periwinkle eyeshadow on my lid stopping just above my natural crease and, with a fluffy blending brush, I blended the edges and I brought the color up in my crease; along the edges and in the crease I used a shimmery periwinkle eyeshadow. In my inner corner I applied a shimmery gold eyeshadow. I used the same periwinkle eyeshadow in my lower lashline and I went over it with glitters. I used a brown liner and I added white dots all along my crease! That’s it, I hope you like it!

Ciao fatine,

One product review kiko unlimited foundation

Hi fairies,
Today we’re talking about a foundation I bought even though I thought it wouldn’t have worked for me. why did I buy then, you might ask? Because I’ve heard good things about it and I was too curious to try it!

Let’s see how it’s described: Long-lasting fluid foundation that ensures perfect make-up all day long*. The formula's active ingredients are rich with properties: the sea lavender extract gives the skin a lift while the blend of exotic oils helps hydrate and nourish the skin without being heavy. The light foundation has a velvety smooth texture that's a breeze to apply and adjust. It provides medium-high coverage and contains sunscreen which helps protect the skin from the first signs of aging.Unlimited Foundation SPF 15 comes in fourteen shades, one for every skin type and complexion. Your make-up will always looks perfect. Price 14.90 £- 14.90 € for 30 ml.

kiko_unlimited_foundation_review

What I like: it comes in a glass bottle with a pump applicator, my favorite because it’s more sanitary and less messy. It’s fragrance free just like it claims to be, which is great for those of you who are sensitive to fragrances. The shade range is wide for a drugstore foundation, there are warm and cold shades to choose from; it can be a bit confusing at first but, if you have the chance to swatch them in stores, I’m sure you’ll find the perfect match for your skin.
The consistency is not too liquid nor too thick, the right one to work with, easy to apply with a foundation brush, it’s not streaky and it’s not patchy. You can also apply with your fingers if you like, it will still look pretty even.  The finish is semi matte in my opinion, so it looks nice on almost all skin types. It’s lightweight and it’s not cakey. The coverage is medium, if you haven’t got hyperpigmentation or acne scars it will even out your skin. Once it’s set with a face powder it lasts pretty much all day. It’s got SPF 15 which is not really high, but it’s better than nothing.

What I don’t like: I like high coverage foundations even though I wouldn’t need them, so this one is not my first choice; I find it to be good as an everyday foundation or in summer, when I want a lighter coverage, but in winter I’ll go for high coverage products for sure. After few hours I start to look shiny on my T zone and, even though it’s not one of the worst foundations I try when it comes to mattify my skin, it’s not even one of the best one.

kiko_unlimited_foundation_review

My verdict: I’m on the fence about this product, let’s say it’s not the right one for me so I won’t repurchase it, but I recommend it for dry skin types and for people who are looking for a medium coverage foundation with a natural finish that is not heavy but it covers small blemishes.

Italian version:

Ciao fatine,

kiko_unlimited_foundation_review
