February empties

Hi fairies,
this month my empties box is full of skin care and makeup products, I’m proud of myself! I’m afraid this is going to be a long post , so without further ado let’s get started!

I used two body lotions this month, the first one is the Kiko haute punk , haute flower body lotion: I love the smell, it’s sweet and spicy and it’s quite longlasting; the body lotion gives you an average hydration and it gets absorbed fast, it’s alright for my skin type, which is normal on my body, but I’m afraid is a bit too light for very dry skin.

I love the Kiko shimmering oil because it gives my skin a nice glow, it’s a dry oil that came out with the Life in Rio limited edition and I bought it on sale because I love the tiny , golden sparkles in it, they make me feel like a fairy! Here you can read my full review on this amazing product.

Another product you often see among my empties is the body shop kind eye makeup remover, here you can read everything about it, let’s just say I love it because I need a tiny bit of it to completely remove my eye makeup! It ‘s not formulated to remove waterproof makeup, but I have to say it basically removes the most of it, which is amazing!

I recently fell in love with the 3D eye contour cream by Kiko, which has become my favourite: it’s lightweight, very moisturizing, not greasy and it really gives my eye area a firm and toned look! Here you can read what I think about it, it’s a great eye contour cream in my opinion.

I tried essence hand cream, mostly because of the scent, strawberry and dark chocolate, irresistible to me! It’s not a very rich and moisturizing hand cream, but it works well as an everyday treat , and the smell is so good it makes you want to eat it!

For my hair care this month I used the body shop coconut beautifying oil, one of my favourite hair oil: if you’ve got curly, long and dry hair you should try coconut oil, it works wonders at keeping it soft and shiny, it helps detangle it and it prevents your ends to split. If you don’t use it because you think melting it and putting it on your hair is time consuming, you can definitely try this product, that comes in a liquid form, it’s easy to apply and easy to rinse off!

My favourite deodorant is Lycia original formula, I’ve been using it for years and it has never let me down! It’s a cream and you apply a tiny bit of it ; it’s effective all day, no matter how much you sweat , it will never fail you!

I’ve got oily skin and I scrub it on a regular basis, I like trying new scrubs every now and then , and this one has become one of my favourite because it’s very effective, not aggressive, it cleanse my skin deeply, it unclogs my pores and it keeps imperfection at bay! It’s kiko purifying scrub, formulated for oily skin.

I use soap bars when I shower and I love Nesti Dante soap because it’s not harsh on my skin, it’s got a nice, natural smell and it lasts really long! This month I tried olive and tangerine soap, a fresh fragrance I will repurchase it!

Let’s move on to makeup products, this month I ran out of quite a few and I’m happy about it; first one is Nars stick concealer in pear, here you can read my review about it. I love this concealer and I’ll repurchase it after using those I already own, it doesn’t crease in my under eye area, it stays on all day, it doesn’t smudge, it’s not cakey at all!

I eventually finished kiko soft compact focus mineral foundation, probably the oldest piece of makeup I owned! At first I used it almost every day and then I put it away because I prefer liquid foundations; few months ago I decided it was time to use it and get rid of it , it was getting too old, and today l’m proud to announce it’s all gone! I actually liked it on top of a tinted moisturizer, and I noticed it didn’t set into my pores like it used to, maybe because my skin is healthier than it was , all in all I like it and I’m thinking of repurchasing it!

a product I don’t like at all , a true disappointment actually, is the sleek dip it eyeliner in silver: it was dry when I bought it and in few months it got so dry and patchy it’s impossible to use it. There’s product left but I’m getting rid of it and I won’t repurchase it: it’s cheap but it’s just not worth it , it’s been a waste of money.

Another product I had to get rid of because it was too dry to use it is the essence gel liner in number 04, but this one hasn’t been a disappointment because I bought it at least two years ago and I used it ever since, only recently it has dried out and I can’t complain considering how old it is! Too bad they don’t make these gel liners anymore, they were so good and cheap!

I already repurchased Benefit stay don’t stray! Eye primer, I really like it, it prevents my eyeshadows from creasing and it makes it last all day, it’s a good product especially if you’ve got oily lids as it’s not greasy at all and it will dry your skin a bit.

That’s it for this month, see you next month with more empties!

Ciao fatine,

eye makeup look apricot candy

Hi fairies,
Do you wear smoky eyes often? They are easy to achieve, and you can use any colors of your choice to create your smoky eye look: the smoky eye is a technique, it doesn’t have to be dark, it’s all about the way you apply your eyeshadow, so you can have a bright smoky eye like this one, which is orange!
It is not as sultry and edgy like a black smoky eye , but it’s more suitable for day time in my opinion, and I really like how it turned out!
I first applied a shimmery orange eye shadow all over my lid, stopping just below my natural crease : if you go over your crease the color will be too high and when you blend it will reach your eye brows, that’s why you have to keep it a bit lower than when you want it to be , because it will get there once it’s blended out! I used a lighter orange shade to help blending it, and once I was done with that I picked a warm brown eyeshadow with a bit of red in it, and I applied it in my outer corner and I blended it very well. The perfect highlight for this look was a cream color with multicolor shimmer in it, it goes really well with the orange! In my lower lashline and in my water line I used a brick brown eye pencil, and I smudged it out quite a little bit to get that smoky look ; l set it with an eye shadow in the same shade, and  in the inner half of my lower lashline I used the same orange that was all over my lid. That’s it, I hope you like it!

Ciao fatine,

February most played

Hi fairies,
Here we are with my February most played, a monthly post I really enjoy writing, because it gives me the chance to show you and talk about more products than those I write reviews about , some are old ones and some are not exactly my favourite, but it’s worth showing them all!

Before starting l’ll link you to the team most played creator’s blog, Goldenvi0let, where you can find all the info you need to join in if you haven’t already!

First product I want to mention is a hand cream, Kiko anti age hand cream: it’s on my work desk and I apply a pea size on my hands every time I feel them dry, which is twice or three times a day. It’s not the first tube I use , I alternate it with other brands, I’ll write a full review on it soon but right now I can tell you it’s not very moisturizing or rich, it’s not greasy and it gets absorbed in a matter of seconds but, if your hands are very dry, it might be not enough for you. I like to use it during the day because I can keep reading, working and doing anything I was doing without leaving sticky fingerprints everywhere!

This month I’ve been using Kiko poker nail lacquer very often, here you can read my full review: they came out with the daring game collection, I like them because they’re easy to apply, they give you good coverage with one coat and full coverage with two coats, they’ve got an extremely glossy finish, almost gel like , and they perform well. Colors aren’t unique , they’re classic ones , but they’re worth it!

I love pigments and I love teal shades, that’s why I used Mac loose pigment in teal in many of my makeup looks in February just like last month, and I really love it! It’s easy to blend, it’s very pigmented, it sticks to my lid without causing a huge fall out, and the shade is absolutely gorgeous: it is a true teal with silver, blue and pink microglitter!

The perfect match for the Mac pigment is the Kiko vibrant eye pencil nr 605, a beautiful teal shade, a tiny bit darker and deeper than the pigment. I use it in the waterline, set with an eyeshadow, or as an eyeshadow base, and it works well both ways! It doesn’t last all day on its own, but it stays on when set with eyeshadows, all in all I like this eye pencil line.

Last product of the month is a mascara I’m thinking of writing a full review about, the Givenchy phenomen’eyes: when it came out everybody was talking about it, now I don’t read or hear much about this product even though , in my opinion, is a very good mascara and it should be more popular. The wand could look intimidating at first, but it’s actually very easy to use and it reaches small lashes without any efforts! It really lengthen my lashes and it volumizes them as well, it’s a high end product but it’s worth the money you pay for it!

That’s it for this month, see you next month with more most played!

Ciao fatine,

World of beauty neroli vivace nuova linea / new line

Hi fairies, I’m very pleased to have the chance to try the new Neroli Vivace line by World of beauty and I’m thrilled to talk about it to...
