sparkly smoky purple eye makeup look

Hi fairies,
This look is a purple, bold and sultry smoky eye using my favourite purple eyeshadow, poison plum by Sugarpill! First thing I did was applying a light brown in my crease, using a blending brush: this will be my transition color and it will help blend other colors effortlessly. Then I used an eye pencil as a base in my outer corner, and on top of that I applied a duo chrome blue and purple eye shadow and I blended it out; I applied a matte purple in the outer part of my crease because I used almost all shimmery eyeshadows, and the different finish makes iridescences pop even more, and I blended it very well. In the middle of my lid I applied a shimmery lavender purple and I blended it where it meets the darker one; in the inner corner I went for an even lighter shade of purple. In my waterline I used a teal eye pencil , and black eyeliner to line my eyes. I hope you like it!

Ciao fatine,

Neon zebra print nail art

Hi fairies,
Today’s nail art matches a very popular theme with very popular colors: neon colors and animal print!
I like animal print nail art because you can play with it a lot, changing it every time, mixing and matching, and it will always look good ; it’s also beginners friendly because it doesn’t have to be precise, you can go ahead and try and if you make some tiny mistake don’t worry, no one will notice that!
For my background I used the sponge technique, that will allow you to get a nice gradient.you can choose your favourite colors, I picked neon pink, yellow and green for a super bright result ! I then added a coat of glittery top coat, first of all because I’m a glitter addict, and second of all because it further helps to blend colors together. With a striping brush I painted the zebra lines , and with a dotting tool I painted the cheetah and leopard spots! It’s fun and I hope you’ll give it a try!

Ciao fatine,

What would you buy if you forgot your makeup bag home?

Hi fairies,
I’ve seen this tag ages ago and I wanted to answer to it but for one reason or another I’ve always postponed it, which is a pity because it is interesting and useful in my opinion; today I’ve eventually found the time to write my list of what we could say is my must have makeup! Let’s start then!
Before starting l have to say I don’t think I would forget my makeup bag home in its entirety, I might forget few items but not the whole bag: I always write down a list of what I’m packing for a trip and makeup is included in the list, and I double check no..triple check before closing my luggage for good! Makeup is part of my everyday routine , I just couldn’t forget my makeup bag!

But let’s say I have…what would I buy as must have products?
First thing would be a good liquid foundation: a good base, in my opinion, is a staple, you can’t put any makeup on a bare face or on patchy and shiny skin, it’s better not wearing any makeup at all! I would buy a highend foundation, most probably Mac studio fix fluid foundation SPF 15, my favourite.

I’ve got oily skin, and I need to fix my foundation with translucent powder so I would buy the Mac prep + prime loose powder or Urban Decay De sleek powder, they both mattify your makeup and they keep your skin shine free, a must have for me!

I’d grab a mascara, it doesn’t matter if it’s a drugstore one because there are good low cost ones, for example Essence lash mania reloaded, or Maybelline the falsies, and I would use it with a brush (that I would add to my cart) as eyeliner as well!

Another must have would be an iridescent pigment, let’s say similar to Mac Vanilla, even though it doesn’t have to be necessarily that one, it could be any other brand : I’ve got few good mineral ones, or if there was a Kiko store close to me I would go there and buy one of their pigments, and I could use it as eye shadow and as highlighter! I would also buy at least three eyeshadows, if I was at  Kiko ( or at any other similar shop like Claire’s for example) I would make my own customized palette with Kiko infinity eyeshadows, a three one would be enough: I would pick a matte color like a hazelnut to use it as transitional shade, and then I would definitely go for a mint green and a deeper green, or for two purple shades. I couldn’t forget about a white eye pencil , I could actually swap it with one of the eyeshadows : I couldn’t manage without my beloved white pencil that goes in my waterline !

I would also buy two eyeshadow brushes, a blending one and a flat one to apply eye shadow on my lid, and an eye makeup remover, because I could wash my face with soap and water but I don’t like to do that around my eyes where skin is very sensitive and it gets irritated easily. A micellar water would do as well, actually it would be even better because I would use it for both face and eyes!

I think that would be it, I would have the basics and I could wear neutral to smoky makeup , and my skin wouldn’t be shiny and bare!

Ciao fatine,

eye makeup look royal blue and green sea princess

Hi fairies,
For today’s look I’ve been inspired by the many shades and iridescence of the sea, especially in summer when sun hits it and it magically changes from green to blue, to teal , to aqua and to white! I could look at it for hours , I find it very fascinating and I love all the sparkles that make me think of fairy dust!
To create this look I started with a green mint color and I applied it in my crease with a blending brush, concentrating it mostly in the outer corner of my crease where I wanted it to be more intense, and then dragging the color all the way down to the inner corner. This should represent sea foam, that’s why I added a matte white in the inner corner, to make it even more similar to that. On my lid I apply a gorgeous sparkly royal blue pigment, royal sugar by sugarpill, and I applied it wet ; I patted a bit more of it dry all around the edges to defuse any harsh lines. I chose a white iridescent pigment as highlight, it is Vanilla by Mac! That’s it for today, I hope you like it!

Ciao fatine,
