June most played

Hi fairies,
I’ve joined the team most played for the third month in a row and I think I’m going to join it for many months to come! Goldenvi0let is the creator of #teammostplayed, here you can find all details if you want to join in!

Let’s immediately have a look at my most played products: this month I decided to give lush pure pigments another chance, because it was lying in one of my drawers and I know I would have to throw it away if I waited longer and I really don’t like to get rid of products no matter how much I don’t like them! Here you can read my review which isn’t a good one ; I recently purchased a new foundation brush, from the kiko rock boulevard collection, and I’m in love with it! It buffs liquid foundation in like no other brush, it works better than my beauty blender, any liquid foundation looks flawless, it gives my skin an airbrushed finish I adore, pores look minimized and my skin looks glowy without being greasy, it’s just perfect, my holy grail brush! I applied the pure pigments with it and surprise, surprise…it has completely changed the performance of this product! It’s still a bit too oily for my skin but I can actually wear it as foundation and it looks pretty good, it’s got a medium coverage and with my urban decay de sleek powder as setting powder it stays in place for 5 hours! After that it starts to look a bit shiny but now it’s hot so it’s not the best weather to test it. I’m going to use the whole jar and that makes me happy!

Another new product, for me, that I’m liking a lot, is the kiko shine lust lip tint nr 07: I’ve just posted a full review here, let’s just say I like how shiny it is, I like how pigmented it is and I like how full lips look; it’s pretty longlasting to be a lip tint and I’ve been wearing it a lot this month! I’ve bought other two shades, but this one is my favourite for summer as it’s so bright, red and well….summery!

I’ve been also using a bright pink mac lipstick, the nicki minaj viva glam, a limited edition: it’s hard to describe the color, it’s unique and I like it a lot, it is a warm pink , it’s a mix between salmon pink and neon pink and it looks really nice with my pale skin.

For nail polishes I’ve used the kiko sun show from the Life in rio , they are gorgeous and if you get the chance to buy them I think you should: they’re almost duo chrome and they’ve got so many different iridescences it’s really hard to describe them and do them justice, you have to see it yourself!
Let’s go on with a product I use every day and I already mentioned it in my previous most played posts, shea butter: I use it as hair deep conditioning, on my elbows and heels and on my body, I can’t live without it!

Last two products are shade related as they’re both lavender: first one is sugarpill loose pigment in paperdoll, a very versatile eyeshadow I use in my crease with darker colors on my lid, or on my lid with light blue or purple in the crease just to mention two looks I’ve worn a lot this month! I like it a lot, quality is on point and I’ve been experimenting and having lot of fun with it! Last product is a mineral blush I want to finish because I’ve had it for quite a while and I don’t want it to go bad , it is a nice colour but it’s not too easy to match. I usually wear it with cold make up looks , with silver, purple or blue and it looks really good but I have to be careful not to apply too much of it because it’s very pigmented and once it’s on it’s hard to blend it out!

That’s it for this month, see you next month with more #mostplayed!

Ciao fatine,

One product review : the body shop rainforest coconut oil

Hi fairies,

Today we’re talking about hair care, a subject I care about because I’ve got long and colored hair, and I want it to be as healthy as possible! My hair is curly and dry, even more so because I dye it, and it needs constant and deep conditioning. I usually deep condition it twice a month by mixing shea butter, pure coconut oil and another oil such as jojoba, monoi, castor or olive oil and I leave it on my hair a whole night. Once I wash it it’s very shiny, soft and nourished! When it’s still damp, after washing it, I apply some of the product I’m going to talk about in a minute, and I do the same daily, only on my ends. Keep in mind my hair is very long, almost waist length, dry and colored so it needs to be moisturized daily. It might seem a lot of oil but it gets absorbed and my hair isn’t greasy, it actually needs it!

One of my favourite hair oil is the body shop coconut oil, I’ve tried many and I use different ones but I’ve always got this one in stock!

Let’s see how it’s described:   a nice intensive pre shampoo treatment. It can be applied at night or massaged on your scalp, it’s perfect for dry , treated and damaged hair. With virgin bio coconut oil by Fair Trade, parabens, silicon and colouring free. Price 11.00 € - 15.00 $ for 200 ml.

Ingredients:

Glycine Soja Oil/Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil (Emollient/Skin Conditioner), Cocos Nucifera Oil/Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil (Emollient/Hair Conditioner), Parfum/Fragrance (Fragrance), Tocopherol (Antioxidant), Pentaclethra Macroloba Seed Oil (Skin-Conditioning Agent), Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil/Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil (Emollient), Rosmarinus Officinalis Extract/Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Extract (Astringent), Coumarin (Fragrance Ingredient), Citric Acid (pH Adjuster).

What I like: it’s a light texture oil that gets absorbed really fast and it doesn’t leave your hair greasy or heavy, but it truly moisturize it and keep it shiny and soft, frizz free. A little goes a long way, you just have to put a tiny bit on your hands and run them through your hair. I use it daily and I’ve never felt my hair heavy or oily. It smells of coconut but it’s not a strong scent and it won’t last long . it’s perfect for summer , you could put it in your bag and apply it while sun tanning to protect your hair, I use it all year round though. Bottle is plastic one with a sifter for an easy application, and it’s transparent so you can see how much is left.

What I don’t like : to me it’s a very good product, I can’t think of any fault apart that maybe it might be a bit too heavy on greasy hair as it’s rich and nourishing ; if your hair is greasy I suggest you to try with a little amount of it just on your ends and to use it as pre shampoo treatment, not like I do as everyday moisturizer.

My verdict: I can’t go without it, I need a hair oil to moisturize my hair daily and I love this one because it’s not too heavy, not greasy and it keeps my hair shiny, soft and bouncy and it prevents it from splitting!

Ciao fatine,

Senza siliconi, parabeni e coloranti. Prezzo 11.00 € - 15.00 $ per 200 ml.

Ingredienti:

Glycine Soja Oil/Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil (Emollient/Skin Conditioner), Cocos Nucifera Oil/Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil (Emollient/Hair Conditioner), Parfum/Fragrance (Fragrance), Tocopherol (Antioxidant), Pentaclethra Macroloba Seed Oil (Skin-Conditioning Agent), Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil/Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil (Emollient), Rosmarinus Officinalis Extract/Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Extract (Astringent), Coumarin (Fragrance Ingredient), Citric Acid (pH Adjuster).

eye make up look gold and green a ray of sun peeking through through trees

Hi fairies,
Today’s look was inspired by a walk in the wood during a sunny day: don’t you love when the sun’s peeking through trees’ branches and it seems trees are dancing, fairies are running after one another and gnomes are playing tricks hiding behind mushrooms and leaves? I sure do, I feel part of the magic and I could swear I’ve seen fairy dust flying around more than once!
For this look I placed a gold eye shadow in the middle of my lid and I used a forest green on both my inner and outer corner; I used a lighter green as transition color between gold and dark green. I applied Mochi, a gorgeous matte green in the outer corner to give a bit more depth to the look, and I blended the colors upwards toward my crease. I used a dark green eye liner and I repeated the same color pattern on my lower waterline. I hope you like it!

Italian version:

Ciao fatine,
