July most played

We are at the end of july and it means it’s time for another most played post! This month I haven’t used too many eye shadows, it’s summer and it’s hot and I spend quite a lot of time outdoor, I try to keep my make up simple and fresh ! I also haven’t taken face powder or lipstick with me for touch ups, because when I’m walking on the beach or in the wood it’s not needed, so you won’t see any palette or bold colors, even though I used them but mostly in the evenings or when weather was cloudy and cold.

First product on my list is the Nars stick concealer, my shade is Pear, and I’m loving it so much! I’ll soon post a full review on it, this is the first Nars concealer I’ve tried and it won’t be the last because it is awesome! It’s very light but it’s got good coverage, I use it under my eyes and it is the first concealer that doesn’t crease or goes into fine lines, yes it doesn’t and I love it! I will definitely repurchase it, it’s expensive but it’s worth the money in my opinion!

Another new product, for me, is the body shop pore cleansing face exfoliator: it’s part of my morning cleansing routine, it’s got a smell hard to describe, it reminds me of sea in a way, but I don’t think everybody would like it. I’ve gotten used to it though, and I like how deep the scrub is, you can definitely feel the grains on your face, they’re not very small but they’re not aggressive on my skin .

Something I can’t live without , no matter how hot it is, is a good face primer and pores minimize: I can go out bare faced but I would apply a tiny bit of face primer to give my skin a smooth finish, and Benefit The Porefessional does its job really well! It is the second tube I’m using, and I love this face primer! It’s heat proof, I wore it when it was around 30 degrees and it didn’t fail me !

Another great help in summer is eye primer, and I’m loving the new Lime Crime eyeshadow helper, you can read my full review here: it makes any eye shadow waterproof, which is very convenient when it’s hot and muggy, and it also makes any eye shadow very long lasting and vibrant: it’s as good as Urban Decay primer potion, it’s better than Too Faced shadow insurance in my opinion, and it’s cheaper than both of them!

I love adding a nice glow to my cheekbones in this season, well actually all year round, but in summer I feel like it’s a must, and I’ve been using the Kiko Shimmer powder face and body every day! I want to finish it and I’m afraid it will take ages , as I’ve got it I think two years ago and I’ve been using it ever since but there’s still half the product in the pan! I like it, it’s very shimmery and full of glitters, but I really like it.

One of my most played eyeshadow is actually a pigment, a Sugarpill loose pigment called paperdoll, a gorgeous lavender color with silver and pink glitters in it: it’s very versatile, I like matching it with bright colors such as green or purple or blue, but I also like it in the crease as transitional color when I use cold shades, or even on its own for a quick , sparkly makeup! 

Last product is a lipstick: it’s a Kiko lipstick I bought at the end of 2012, I think it came out with their Christmas collection, and it was part of a limited edition , that’s why I didn’t write a review on it. I got two of them, but this month I’ve been using this one a lot and I have to say it is one of my favourite if not my favorite lipstick of all time: it glides on your lips beautifully, it’s very easy to apply, the texture is light and creamy; once you apply it it takes not more than 30 seconds to set, and the texture changes to matte, and it won’t go anywhere all day long! I eat and drink and it doesn’t smudge nor fade, it is amazing! It is like a second skin on your lips, you don’t feel it at all, it’s very comfortable, it doesn’t dry your lips, it looks gorgeous and you won’t have to reapply it throughout the day! This is my go to lipstick , because it is a kind of neutral pink mauve that makes my complexion glow, it looks really good and it matches any kind of makeup . I absolutely love it and I hope Kiko will put them out again with one of their next collection, the formula is awesome and it’s better than other high ends lipsticks, it’s amazing!

Siamo alla fine di luglio , ed è arrivato il momento di un altro post della serie most played! Se ancora non sapete di cosa io stia parlando e di chi sia stata l’idea , vi lascio il link con tutte le informazioni: Golden violet ha inventato il tag most played, e se volete unirvi al team non dovete far altro che leggere il link qui sopra, è facile e divertente!

Questo mese non ho usato tantissimi ombretti, è estate , fa caldo, e ho passato parecchio tempo all’aperto, quindi ho cercato di truccarmi in modo pratico e veloce! Quando sono andata a passeggiare in riva al mare o nel bosco non mi sono portata cipria né rossetto per eventuali ritocchi, perché non era necessario, quindi non vedrete ombretti dai colori decisi, anche se li ho usati, ma prevalentemente la sera o nelle giornate di brutto tempo.

Il primo prodotto della mia lista è un correttore stick di Nars, che io possiedo nella colorazione Pear, e con cui mi sto trovando benissimo! Posterò presto una recensione completa, questo è il primo correttore di questa marca che provo, ma vi garantisco che non sarà l’ultimo! Ha una consistenza molto leggera ma la coprenza è buona, lo uso nella zona peri oculare ed è l’unico correttore che non evidenzia le rughette e non  va ad infilarcisi dentro! Lo ricomprerò sicuramente, per me vale il prezzo che costa!

Un altro prodotto per me nuovo è il the body shop pore cleansing face exfoliator : fa parte della mia routine mattutina di pulizia del viso, ha un odore difficile da descrivere che però non credo piaccia a tutti; ricorda vagamente il mare, ma è decisamente particolare. Io mi ci sono abituata e lo uso volentieri, perché mi piace l’esfoliazione profonda che si ottiene, grazie ai granuli non particolarmente fini, che sulla mia pelle non sono aggressivi.

Non importa quanto alta sia la temperatura, io non rinuncio ad una buona base viso che minimizzi i pori : posso uscire senza trucco, ma non senza aver applicato un po’ di primer viso, e il Benefit The Porefessional fa benissimo il suo lavoro! È la seconda confezione che uso, mi piace molto l’effetto levigato che la mia pelle ha dopo averlo applicato, ed è anche resistente al caldo: l’ho usato quando la temperatura era intorno ai 30 gradi e non mi ha tradito!

Un altro prodotto a cui non si può rinunciare d’estate ,e  dirla tutta non solo d’estate ma tutto l’anno, è una buona base occhi, e mi sto trovando molto bene con l’eyeshadow helper di Lime Crime, di cui potete leggere la recensione completa qui. Rende ogni ombretto resistente all’acqua, il che è indispensabile quando si suda e c’è molta umidità, e inoltre enfatizza il colore di qualsiasi ombretto : secondo me è valido quanto il primer potion di Urban Decay, e lo preferisco al too faced shadow insurance, e non dimentichiamo che costa meno di entrambi!

in estate non riesco a fare a meno di un tocco di luce sul viso, quindi uso sempre un illuminante, in questo caso sto usando la shimmer powder di Kiko perché voglio finirla, anche se so che ci vorrà ancora molto tempo! L’ho comprata un paio di anni fa e la uso costantemente ma ,come potete vedere, ne ho ancora circa la metà! È piena di glitter ed è molto luminosa , ma a me piace e la uso quasi tutti i giorni!

Uno degli ombretti che ho usato più spesso questo mese è un pigmento, ed è Sugarpill paperdoll, un bellissimo color lavanda pieno di glitter argento e rosa: è molto versatile,mi piace abbinarlo a colori decisi come il verde o il viola, oppure mi piace usarlo come colore di transizione nella piega dell’occhio quando il trucco è basato su colori freddi, o ancora è perfetto da solo, per un trucco veloce e luminosissimo!

L’ultimo prodotto del mese è un rossetto: è della Kiko, e l’ho comprato alla fine del 2012, credo fosse uscito con la collezione natalizia in edizione limitata, ora non si trova più e per questo motivo non ho scritto una recensione. Oltre a questo ne comprai un altro, più scuro, ma questo mese ho usato spessissimo questo colore che è uno dei miei, se non il mio, rossetto preferito in assoluto: scivola sulle labbra che è una meraviglia, ha una consistenza leggera e cremosa e si applica con estrema facilità; una volta applicato si fissa in circa 30 secondi, e la finitura diventa opaca! A quel punto potete mangiare e bere, e il rossetto rimarrà al suo posto, non sbaverà e non perderà colore o intensità, è eccezionale! Diventa una seconda pelle sulle labbra, praticamente vi dimenticherete di averlo per quanto è leggero e confortevole, non secca assolutamente le labbra e non va ritoccato durante il giorno! Questo colore, un rosa malva, è perfetto per la mia carnagione, il viso si illumina e per me è il classico rossetto da tutti i giorni, che si abbina a qualsiasi tipo di trucco. Spero che Kiko lo riproporrà in qualcuna delle sue future collezione, ha una formulazione eccezionale, che non sfigura se paragonata a rossetti ben più costosi, io lo adoro!
