One product review kiko lenghtening top coat mascara

When it comes to certain products I’d rather spend a bit more and get high quality than save money and get a crappy result, and that usually applies to face makeup goodies and mascaras : my experience taught me it’s not worth buying cheap products, the difference is striking and they don’t perform the way I want them to. I do some exceptions from time to time though, when I get curious about something , and that’s the case with Kiko lengthening top coat!

Let’s see how it’s described: Length intensifier “top coat” fiber mascara. Applied after your normal mascara, it adds 72%* more length. The natural Rayon fibers integrated into the formula adhere perfectly to your lashes creating a natural, long-lasting lengthening effect for an instant "false eyelashes" look. The soft, enveloping formula goes on easily along the made up lashes, without flaking and without creating dark under-eye circles. Its special spherical mascara brush suggests the proper application of the product directly on the tips of your lashes, where the fibers bind and are set, to enhance the lengthening effect of any mascara. What I like : I like the applicator wand, round and quite small, because it grabs even the tiny lashes in the corners and it coats them with mascara lengthening them noticeably, and the color is a deep, rich black, which I love! I apply it as top coat as it says, and I can definitely see a difference in my lashes’ length, it does its job, better than more expensive mascaras! Before trying Kiko top coats I was a bit skeptical , because I thought it was an extra step that wouldn’t add anything to my lashes, but I have to say I was wrong, when I don’t apply it my lashes look shorter and not as full as they do with this product! It gets dry fast and it doesn’t make lashes stiff, which I hate, it’s very comfortable and it stays like that till you take it off. You don’t need waterproof makeup remover with this mascara, regular one is more than enough! It doesn’t flake during the day and it doesn’t smudge. Of course you have to keep in mind it’s not waterproof, if you go to the beach and get your face wet it will smudge, but I’ve never experienced any problems on a regular basis. It’s not expensive and it’s definitely a good product !

What I don’t like: in my opinion it’s hard to find cons to this top coat, all I can say it can be a bit tedious to apply because it adds a step to your makeup routine, if you’re in a rush you might not have time for that even though it’s totally worth it , but you might not want to wait till your mascara is dry and then go over it with top coat, but apart from that I have to say quality price ratio is great , especially compared to very popular mascaras that do nothing to my lashes; this one’s  long lasting, comfortable and very lengthening!

My verdict: definitely a must have for me, I love it ,  actually my lashes aren’t very long so I need all the help in the world, and this top coat is a good friend of mine! I will repurchase it once it’s gone!

Quando si parla di alcuni prodotti nello specifico, preferisco spendere un po’ di più ed essere sicura della qualità piuttosto che risparmiare e comprare prodotti che non mi soddisfano, specialmente per quel che riguarda i prodotti per il trucco viso e i mascara: ho imparato che non vale la pena scegliere prodotti economici, non vale la pena, la differenza di prestazione è notevole, non ottengo il risultato che voglio. Di tanto in tanto però, faccio delle eccezioni, quando vengo incuriosita da un cosmetico, come nel caso del top coat allungante di Kiko!

Vediamo come viene descritto: Mascara fibre “top coat” intensificatore di lunghezza. Applicato dopo il mascara abituale conferisce il 72%* di lunghezza in più. Le fibre naturali di Rayon integrate nella formula aderiscono perfettamente alle ciglia creando un effetto di allungamento naturale e duraturo, per un look "ciglia finte" istantaneo. La formula morbida e avvolgente si stende con facilità lungo le ciglia truccate, senza sfaldarsi e senza creare aloni sotto l'occhio. Il suo speciale scovolo con forma sferica suggerisce la corretta applicazione del prodotto direttamente sulla punta delle ciglia, dove le fibre si posizionano e si fissano per potenziare l'effetto allungante di qualsiasi mascara. Cosa mi piace: mi piace l’applicatore, che è piccolo e tondeggiante , perché cattura anche le ciglia sottili negli angoli e distribuisce il prodotto uniformemente, allungandole notevolmente; il colore è un nero intenso e pigmentato, che amo! Io lo applico come viene suggerito, quindi come top coat, e noto una differenza sostanziale nella lunghezza delle ciglia,fa quello che promette, più di tanti altri mascara costosi! Prima di provare il Kiko top coat ero un po’ scettica, credevo che si trattasse di un passaggio in più che non avrebbe aggiunto nulla alle mie ciglia, ma mi sbagliavo, infatti quando non lo applico le mie ciglia risultano decisamente più corte e meno folte! Si asciuga rapidamente e non indurisce le ciglia, che è una cosa che odio, è invece confortevole e dura fino a che non decidete di toglierlo. Non è necessario usare uno struccante specifico per trucco waterproof, quello regolare va benissimo! Durante il giorno non si sbriciola e non si scioglie. Dovete , ovviamente, tener presente che non si tratta di un mascara resistente all’acqua, quindi se andate al mare e vi bagnate il viso colerà inevitabilmente, altrimenti resiste tutto il giorno, io non ho mai avuto problemi. Non è costoso, ed ha un’ottima resa!

Cosa non mi piace:a mio parere è difficile trovare difetti a questo prodotto, l’unica cosa che posso dire è che può risultare noioso da applicare perché va ad aggiungere un passaggio alla normale routine, e se andate di fretta potreste non avere voglia di aspettare che il vostro mascara si asciughi per poi applicare il top coat, anche se ne vale decisamente la pena! A parte questo devo dire che il rapporto qualità prezzo è eccezionale, specialmente se paragonato a mascara molto famosi che sulle mie ciglia sono una totale delusione; questo dura a lungo, non appesantisce le ciglia e le allunga notevolmente!

Il mio verdetto: per me è decisamente un prodotto da avere, mi piace molto, del resto non ho le ciglia molto lunghe quindi ogni aiuto è ben accetto, e questo top coat è diventato un mio fedele alleato! Una volta terminato lo riacquisterò sicuramente!
