As you know
by now I love glitters and sparkles, I like to have them around and I like my
makeup to look magical and fairylike, that’s why I love sparkly face powders or
highlighters , and I’m in love with sparkly eyeshadows and pigments! Only
recently I started loving matte colors, and I think they look great matched
with a bit of sparkles, but I have to be honest with you, my first love is
glitters: I can’t resist them!
For this
reason I recently decided to try a makeup forever product, the star powder.
It’s very sparkly and it comes in eleven amazing colors, and I just had to try
one!
Let’s see
how it’s described: this silky, shimmering powder catches the light and gives
the skin a unique glow. Easy to use and suitable for all skin types, this
powder combines an extremely fine yet dense texture. Only a small amount is
necessary for a visible result.
What l like
: I picked color nr 951, bright fuchsia, and I adore it! It is true to its
name, a very bright sparkly fuchsia, a bit more intense than sugarpill dollipop
and a bit less neon : they are the perfect match, I usually add this in the
inner and outer corner with dollipop all over my lid and the result is a subtle
gradient effect I love! It’s meant to be used on face as well, but this shade
is just too intense to be applied as a blush ; I’ve seen others I’d like to try
and that would make a lovely highlighter in my opinion, but this one can be
just used as eyeshadow. It’s a very fine loose powder and it sticks to your
eyelid easily; there’s not a lot of fall out and that’s thanks to the texture . it can be applied wet or dry. it isn’t too
sparkly, I would describe it more as iridescent, the result is gorgeous and
perfectly balanced. It comes in a jar with a sifter , it’s 0.09 oz for 20.00$ -
2.8 gr for 20.50 €.

What I
don’t like : I honestly can’t find faults to this product, the only thing I’ve
noticed is after 4-5 hours sparkles aren’t that bright anymore , but apart from
that it’s a long lasting product, it doesn’t crease nor smudge and the color
pay off is brilliant. As I said there’s a bit of fallout but it’s less than
most loose pigments I own .
My verdict:
it’s absolutely recommended and I think I’m going to try other colors, maybe a
light one that can be used as highlighter. It is a good product, I love how
bright it is and how bright it stays on for hours, which is something I can’t
say of any pigments I tried: some gets muddy after a while.

Come ormai sapete adoro i glitter e le cose che brillano, mi
piace esserne circondata e mi piace anche che siano presenti nel mio makeup per
dargli quel tocco di magia , che si addice ad una fatina, per questo amo gli
illuminanti e le polveri viso shimmer e vengo rapita dagli ombretti e pigmenti
che luccicano! Ho iniziato ad avvicinarmi e ad usare i colori matte da poco, e
devo dire che sono perfetti abbinati con ombretti shimmer, ma se devo essere
sincera il mio primo amore sono i glitters: non riesco a resistergli!
Dopo questa premessa capirete perché, recentemente, ho
deciso di provare un prodotto Makeup forever, la star powder. E’ una polvere
iridescente, la si trova in undici diversi colori, e non potevo non provarne
almeno uno!
Vediamo come viene descritta: con la star powder la star sei
tu! Rivela tutta la luminosità del tuo sguardo o del tuo viso con queste
polveri libere composte da madreperle pure finissime. Delicatamente
iridescenti, le star powders donano una luminosità intensa e una brillantezza
senza uguali. Si possono applicare anche da sole, mescolate tra loro, sopra i
blush , o mescolate con qualsiasi tipo di texture, per un risultato luminoso
dal finish vellutato.
Cosa mi piace: Ho preso il colore 951, un fucsia acceso, e
sono soddisfattissima della mia scelta! È esattamente un fucsia acceso, un po’
più intenso di sugarpill dollipop , ma meno neon di quest’ultimo. Insieme
formano la coppia ideale, io di solito applico la star powder nell’angolo
interno ed esterno dell’occhio e dollipop al centro, e il risultato è un colore
leggermente sfumato che trovo bellissimo ! La star powder può essere usata
anche sul viso, ma questa tonalità è troppo intensa per poter sostituire un
blush; ho visto che ce ne sono altre, più chiare, che secondo me sono perfette
come highlighter, ma questa non può essere altro che un ombretto. La polvere è
finissima ed aderisce facilmente alla palpebra e, grazie a questa consistenza,
non c’è un eccessivo fall out. Si può applicare sia asciutta che bagnata. Non è
eccessivamente glitterata, la definirei iridescente, il risultato è
meraviglioso e non eccessivo. La confezione ha un dosatore, il peso è 0.09 oz
per 20.00$ - 2.8 gr per 20.50 €.
Cosa non mi piace: sinceramente è difficile trovare difetti
a questo prodotto, l’unica cosa che ho notato è che dopo 4-5 ore perde un po’
di brillantezza, ma il colore rimane comunque vibrante, e a parte questo ha un’ottima
durata, non va nelle pieghe e non macchia. Quando lo si applica c’è un po’ di
fall out ma, essendo un prodotto in polvere, è normale.

Il mio verdetto: il prodotto per me è ottimo, lo consiglio
assolutamente, credo che lo proverò in altre colorazioni, probabilmente chiare
così da poterlo usare anche sul viso. Il prodotto è a lunga durata, il colore è
brillante e non si perde una volta applicato, cosa che non posso dire per altri
pigmenti: alcuni , una volta stesi, assumono quel colore indefinito che io
chiamo “fango”.
