eye makeup look chestnut smoky eye

Today’s look is a classic smoky eye in brown shades. I don’t use brown often because I think it doesn’t look good on my skin tone, but this look is perfect as an everyday, edgy look, and I love the chocolate brown and the maroon together, surprisingly I like the result on myself, that’s why I wanted to share it with you! It is a great alternative to a classic black smoky eye, not suitable for work or running errands; I’m not saying this one is, well to me it is, I’m just saying is definitely more wearable in my opinion.

I started applying a chocolate brown eye shadow all over my lid, just above my natural crease, and then with a blending brush I defused the edges and blended it upwards; I used a lighter, warm brown with a bit of red, a terracotta color, in my crease, applied with a blending brush. The key for a nice smoky eye is blending very well! During the blending process it often happens the color you applied on your lid lose intensity, but it’s easily fixable by adding more eye shadow!  I picked a slightly shimmery cream eye shadow as highlighter, and a black liner as eye liner. As you can see this is a fairly simple look, it just takes time to blend it and get a gradient effect! That’s it, I hope you like it!

Il look di oggi è un classic smoky eye nei toni del marrone. Non uso il marrone spesso, perché penso che non stia bene con la mia carnagione, ma questo trucco è, secondo me, perfetto per tutti i giorni, quando si vuole un trucco importante e che si noti, ma non troppo esagerato. Mi piace l’abbinamento del marrone cioccolata e del color terracotta, mi ha sorpreso perché sta bene anche col mio colorito, ecco perché ho deciso di condividerlo con voi! È un’ottima alternativa al classico smoky eye nero, che non è adatto per andare al lavoro o a fare commissioni; voi direte che neanche questo lo è, e forse avete ragione, anche se per come sono fatta io è perfetto , ma in ogni caso credo che sia più portabile rispetto ad un look in cui viene usato il nero.

Ho iniziato applicando un marrone cioccolata su tutta la palpebra mobile, fin sotto alla piega naturale dell’occhio, e poi ho sfumato molto bene i contorni verso l’alto, eliminando le linee nette; poi ho usato un marrone più chiaro, un terracotta, che ha al suo interno una punta di rosso,e l’ho steso nella piega dell’occhio sempre usando un pennello da sfumatura. La chiave per ottenere uno smoky eye degno di questo nome è quella di sfumare ed ottenere una gradazione di colori uniforme e senza stacchi. Può succedere che il colore applicato sulla palpebra mobile perda di intensità mentre si sfuma, ma si rimedia facilmente ritoccandolo ed intensificandolo! Ho scelto un color crema leggermente satinato come illuminante,e  come eye liner ho optato per il classico nero. Come potete vedere è un look abbastanza semplice da ottenere, ci vuole solo tempo per sfumare bene! È tutto, spero vi piaccia!
