One product review : Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Concealer

I’ve been trying different concealers lately , different brands and textures, in my personal quest for the perfect one! I have to say I’ve found one I really love apart from this one, but that won’t stop me from trying others, I might find one I like even more!

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics is an American,cruelty free,  vegan brand , known for its Lip Tars, but there are other products they sell that are extremely good, for example I’m in love with their pigments, and so far none of their products has disappointed me, so in my opinion is a very good brand!

What it does:
Formulated from the finest vegan ingredients available, OCC Skin Concealer nourishes and hydrates the skin with cocoa extract, aloe leaf extract, and vitamin E for coverage that feels as good as it looks. Price 20.00$ for 8.5 gr

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates

What I like : I picked the shade Y0 paled yellow base skintone, and it’s a good match for my pale complexion. It comes in a transparent jar that allows you to keep an eye on how much product’s left, and it’s also very easy to use every bit of concealer without struggling because it doesn’t come out, nothing of the sort! You could easily use it all, and I love that!

The consistency is very creamy but it’s not heavy, it’s light weight and it blends in well; you only need a tiny bit of it, else it will be difficult to blend it and it will look cakey. It covers blemishes really well, and I also use it on my under eye area to get an even look, and I like the result! I don’t have heavy dark circles so I don’t know how effective it is on those, I think it’s got a medium to high coverage. It’s vegan and cruelty free. It comes in a large variety of shades and you can be pretty sure you’ll find the right one for you!

My skin has got a natural radiance when I use it, and it also looks natural and fresh! It hasn’t got any particular smell, and that’s a pros in my opinion!

What I don’t like : I need to set it with powder else it will smudge and it won’t last all day; I always set my concealer anyway, but some stays on longer and better than others, and this one is a bit too creamy to perform well on its own, at least when matched with my skin type , which is oily. I find it works better when you warm it up a bit on your finger, because it is quite hard in the jar, but it softens a lot in few seconds. It goes into fine lines after 4-5 hours, especially in my under eye area, but most concealers do that and this one isn’t really bad at emphasizing them. If you apply a bit more than you need it will be hard to blend , you have to be very light handed and , if you need more, you could always add it .

My verdict: I really like it, it’s not my favorite to use in my under eye area because I’ve found one that doesn’t crease at all, but this one does its job well, it’s got good coverage and it doesn’t look cakey. I think the shades choice is great and I also like how natural it looks! I recommend it!

Ultimamente ho provato diversi correttori , sia come marca che come consistenza, durante la mia personale ricerca di quello perfetto! Devo dire che ne ho trovato uno con cui mi trovo molto bene, che non è questo, ma continuo a provarne di nuovi perché potrei scoprirne di migliori!

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics è una marca americana, vegana e cruelty free, conosciuta soprattutto per i suoi Lip Tars, ma nella sua gamma di prodotti ce ne sono altri molto validi che meritano di essere provati, per esempio io sono innamorata dei loro pigmenti, e finora nessuno mi ha deluso, quindi per la mia esperienza è un’ottima marca!

Vediamo come viene descritto il loro correttore: una base idratante che si sfuma con estrema facilità, in 12 tonalità multietniche, per soddisfare qualsiasi esigenza.

Cosa fa: formulato con ingredienti vegani della migliore qualità, OCC Skin Concealer nutre ed idrata la pelle con estratto di cacao, estratto di foglie di aloe, e vitamina E, per una coprenza che è tanto confortevole quanto efficace. Formulato senza parabeni e solfati. Prezzo 20.00 $ per 8.5 gr

Cosa mi piace: io ho preso la tonalità Y0 , per le pelli chiare con sottotono giallo, ed è il colore giusto per la mia carnagione. La confezione è un barattolino trasparente, che io preferisco perché permette di vedere quanto prodotto rimane , ed anche di prelevarlo senza difficoltà fino alla fine, al contrario dei tubi che, a volte, vanno tagliati per poter usare gli ultimi residui di prodotto!

Ha una consistenza cremosa, ma non pesante, anzi è leggero e si sfuma bene; ne serve veramente pochissimo, se ne usate troppo diventa difficile da sfumare. Copre le imperfezioni benissimo,e mi piace anche applicato nella zona perioculare per uniformare e dare luminosità, e il risultato mi soddisfa! Non ho occhiaie profonde, quindi non so dirvi se sia efficace per chi ha questo problema, secondo me la coprenza è medio alta.è vegan e cruelty free, ed ha una gamma molto ampia di colorazioni, che sicuramente soddisfano tutte le esigenze! Mi piace la luminosità naturale che regala alla pelle, e mi piace anche il fatto che non abbia odori particolari!

Cosa non mi piace: lo devo fissare con una polvere, altrimenti si muove e non resiste tutto il giorno; io fisso sempre il trucco viso con la polvere, ma alcuni correttori hanno una durata maggiore rispetto ad altri, e questo è un po’ troppo cremoso per avere una durata impeccabile su un tipo di pelle come la mia, che è grassa. Ho notato che è meglio scaldarlo leggermente tra le dita, giusto qualche secondo, perché ha una consistenza dura nella confezione, ma si ammorbidisce parecchio e in pochi secondi se usate questo metodo, e si stende anche meglio. Va ad enfatizzare le rughette di espressione dopo circa 4-5 ore, ma moltissimi correttori lo fanno, e questo comunque non è tra quelli peggiori in questo senso. Vi consiglio di prenderne una minima quantità, perché se ne usate troppo non si stende facilmente, eventualmente potete sempre aggiungerne se è il caso.

Il mio verdetto: mi piace, anche se non è il mio preferito da usare nell’area intorno agli occhi, anche perché ne ho trovato uno che non si va ad infilare nelle pieghette e che è il mio preferito, ma questo è perfetto da usare sul resto del viso, ha una buona coprenza e l’effetto è naturale. Inoltre non è da sottovalutare l’ampia scelta di colorazioni, insomma mi sento di consigliarvelo!
