Jeffree Star Thirsty Palette first impression review

I own two Jeffree Star’s palettes and I’m in love with them because the quality is top notch, the pigmentation is insane, there’s literally no fall out, the color range is unique and eyeshadows last all day, what else could I ask for?! I didn’t buy the True Blood palette but I’m still on the fence about it, I like the purples but there are too many warm shades for my taste, I’m very tempted to buy it but I know I wouldn’t use all eyeshadows. Today we’re not here to talk about that though, we’re here to talk about the Thirsty palette, the newest one, which I ordered as soon as it was available!

What I like: I really like the color range, it’s a complete palette: there is a light shade perfect for highlighting under the browbone, there are several transition shades, both cold and warm, there is a matte peach and a matte watermelon color, both very trendy and summery, there is a stunning matte yellow, very hard to find, and two amazing shades, a mint green and a turquoise, my favorite out of the whole palette! The middle row features five metallic eyeshadows made with a new formula and I’ve been really impressed by their pigmentation and texture: there’s no fall out whatsoever, they’re not flaky, when you apply them they stick to the lid like a dream and they stay in place all day! Metallic eyeshadows are usually very flaky and applying them might be a struggle, but these ones won’t give you any troubles at all! They are also easy to blend, they are buttery and soft. The overall performance of this palette is outstanding, all shades are easy to blend, buildable, they aren’t streaky, colors are vibrant but the transition shades don’t apply patchy at all. They last all day without fading away.

What I don’t like: pans are half the size of the first two palettes, but you get 15 eyeshadows instead of 10 so it’s basically the same amount of product for the same price. I don’t think I will hit pan easily on this palette, let alone on the first two and, having so much makeup, smaller size pans could be a pro and not a con. I don’t care about packaging, what matters is the product itself but, if I have to find something I don’t like, I’d say this packaging isn’t my favorite.

My verdict: I totally recommend this palette for the high quality of each eyeshadow, the color range, the quality price ratio! It’s not for neutral lovers even though you can create a neutral makeup with it, but if you already know you’ll never use bright shades buying it would be pointless.

Possiedo due palette di Jeffree Star e le adoro perché sono di altissima qualità, hanno una pigmentazione pazzesca, non sono assolutamente farinosi, la gamma colori è unica e durano tutto il giorno, cos’altro si potrebbe chiedere? Non ho comprato la palette true Blood ma sono ancora indecisa, mi piacciono i viola ma ci sono troppe tonalità calde per i miei gusti, sono molto tentata di acquistarla ma so che non userei tutti gli ombretti. Ma oggi non siamo qui per parlare di lei, siamo qui per parlare della palette Thirsty, l’ultima uscita, che ho ordinato non appena disponibile!

Vediamo come viene descritta: vi presentiamo la nuova Thirsty palette, che fa parte della collezione estiva 2018! Contiene 10 ombretti matte facilmente sfumabili e 5 luminosissimi ultra metallici con nuova formulazione! Questi ombretti sono più morbidi che mai e non sono affatto polverosi, e c’è una combinazione di toni accesi e di toni neutri da abbinare per creare i vostri look estivi. Vegana e non testata su animali. Prezzo 48.00 $.

Cosa mi piace: mi piace la gamma colori, è una palette completa: c’è un colore chiaro perfetto da usare come illuminante dell’arcata sopraccigliare, ci sono diversi colori di transizione sia caldi che freddi, c’è un color pesca opaco e un color anguria opaco che sono di tendenza quest’estate, c’è un bellissimo giallo opaco, colore difficile da trovare, e due stupendi ombretti, uno verde menta e uno turchese, che sono i miei preferiti! Nella fila centrale ci sono cinque ombretti metallici con nuova formulazione che mi hanno colpito moltissimo per la pigmentazione e la consistenza: non sono assolutamente polverosi, non si sfaldano, quando li si applica aderiscono benissimo alla palpebra e non si muovono per tutto il giorno! In genere gli ombretti metallici si sfaldano e sono problematici da applicare, ma con questi non avrete nessun tipo di problema! Sono anche facili da sfumare, sono morbidi e burrosi. La performance generale di questa palette è eccezionale, tutti gli ombretti sono facili da sfumare, modulabili, non lasciano striature, i colori sono intensi ma i colori di transizione non creano assolutamente macchie. Durano tutto il giorno senza sbiadire.

Cosa non mi piace: la dimensione delle cialde è circa la metà rispetto alle prime due palette, ma qui ci sono 15 ombretti invece che 10, quindi abbiamo praticamente la stessa quantità di prodotto allo stesso prezzo. Non credo che toccherò il fondo delle cialde facilmente, cosa ancora più difficile per le prime due palette e, avendo così tanti prodotti makeup, le cialde più piccole possono essere un pregio invece che un difetto. Non vengo attirata dal packaging, per me quello che conta è il prodotto all’interno, ma se devo trovare qualcosa che non mi piace di questa palette dico che il packaging non è tra i miei preferiti.

Il mio verdetto: consiglio assolutamente questa palette per l’alta qualità delle polveri, per la gamma colori e per il rapporto qualità prezzo! Non è consigliata alle amanti dei colori neutri, anche se si possono creare dei look naturali ma, se già sapete che non userete mai i colori vivaci, è inutile acquistarla.
