One product review : Sugarpill precision liner brush

I’m not obsessed with makeup brushes ( shocking, I know!) and I haven’t got too many of them , only those I really need: I bought my first mac brushes back in 2008 I think, and they’re still as good as new! I don’t feel the need to buy non expensive ones or to try new brands, I’d rather spend my money on high quality brushes because they last way longer than cheap ones, and in the long run you’ll realize you saved money by purchasing one good brush instead of five cheap ones!

I didn’t have a good liner brush though, and when Sugarpill launched three brushes I decided to purchase their precision brush, perfect to apply gel liner and to draw from tiny to thick lines!

What I like :  it’s a synthetic brush with a very fine tip, a perfect combo to apply gel liner smoothly and neatly, and I have to say it works very well! The tip’s shape allows you to draw very thin winged lines or to thicken them to your liking . I love the color, pink! It’s super cute, isn’t it? It’s easy to clean , I wash it with soap or with Mac brush cleanser, and it stays in shape . it’s stiff but not too stiff, just enough not to open and draw a sloppy and messy line, I think they found the right balance ; it is vegan and cruelty free, which is a plus! I’ve been using it for three months and it’s still in shape , quality is good.

What I don’t like: as much as pink is girly and sweet , I was afraid it was difficult to get rid of black or dark stains, especially when it comes to gel liners that stick to bristles like there’s no tomorrow! I have to say I was wrong, it looks like new and I’ve been using it regularly by now, but of course you have to rub a bit more than you’d do with a brown brush, so that could be a down side because cleaning it it’s more time consuming compared to dark ones. Apart from that I can’t find any other faults to this awesome brush!

My verdict: if you’re looking for a good quality eyeliner brush, and you’re willing to spend a bit more to get it, you should definitely give this a try! It’s perfect to draw thin lines, it doesn’t lose the shape, it’s vegan, it’s pink! I don’t think you could ask for more!

Quando si tratta di pennelli per il trucco devo confessare di non averne tanti, non sento il bisogno di comprarne sempre di nuovi ( vi sorprendo, lo so!) : ho comprato i miei primi pennelli Mac nel 2008 più o meno, e sono ancora perfetti! Preferisco non comprare pennelli poco costosi o provare tutte le nuove marche, secondo me è meglio averne pochi ma di buona qualità, perché durano anni e vi renderete conto che in realtà , sulla lunga distanza, si risparmia pur avendo speso di più : meglio avere un pennello valido che cinque pennelli scadenti!

Purtroppo non avevo un buon pennello da eyeliner, quindi quando Sugarpill ha lanciato sul mercato i suoi pennelli ho deciso di comprare quello per eyeliner, che permette di tracciare linee  da sottili a spesse, a seconda delle esigenze!

Vediamo come viene descritto:  amanti degli animali gioite! Nessun animale ha sofferto per realizzare questi pennelli. I nostri pennelli sono vegani e cruelty free e sono fatti con setole sintetiche morbidissime, che vi permettono un’applicazione professionale e facilissima, e per sfumare senza difficoltà. Le setole sintetiche non solo sono la migliore scelta etica possibile, ma sono anche più facili da pulire rispetto alle setole naturali, in cui possono rimanere intrappolati batteri. Il manico è di bambù ed è ecologico. Usare sapone neutro per lavarlo, e poi eliminare l’acqua in eccesso con un asciugamano. Farlo asciugare su una superficie piana. Prezzo 16.00 $ - 18.00 €.

Cosa mi piace: è un pennello sintetico dalla punta molto sottile, la combinazione perfetta per applicare l’eyeliner in gel in modo scorrevole e preciso, e devo dire che fa il suo lavoro egregiamente! La forma della punta, a mandorla, consente massima libertà nel tracciare righe da molto sottili fino a righe più spesse, a seconda delle proprie preferenze. Non posso non citare il colore, rosa! Molto femminile e particolare! È facile da pulire, io uso del sapone neutro o il liquido specifico della Mac, e non ha perso la forma. È rigido ma non troppo, consente di modulare lo spessore del tratto, ma non è tanto morbido da aprirsi se premete un po’ di più, insomma secondo me hanno trovato il giusto equilibrio; è anche vegan e cruelty free, che sicuramente è un pregio! Lo uso da mesi ormai, e la forma è ancora perfetta, la qualità è ottima!

Cosa non mi piace: per quanto il rosa sia un colore particolare e renda il pennello unico, avevo paura che fosse difficile eliminare macchie di prodotti scuri, anche perché sappiamo bene quanto gli eyeliner in gel siano appiccicosi e si attacchino alle setole dei pennelli! Devo dire che invece , dopo mesi di utilizzo, il pennello non ha nessuna macchia, ma ad onor del vero bisogna strofinare un po’ di più rispetto agli altri pennelli, quindi per la pulizia si impiega un po’ più di tempo. A parte questo, non riesco a trovargli altri difetti,mi ci trovo benissimo!

Il mio verdetto: se siete alla ricerca di un pennello di qualità, e siete disposte a spendere un pochino di più, vi consiglio di provarlo: riuscirete a tracciare linee sottilissime, il pennello è vegan, non perde la forma, è rosa! Non credo si possa desiderare di più!
