Mac haul Pure heroine and more aka diary of a shopaholic

Today we’re going shopping at Mac! I’m going to show you few items I got last time I was at Mac store, which was last month to be honest, but I promise you it’s going to be worth it because there is a gorgeous lipstick among them!

Let’s start with my favourite blending brush, Mac nr 217 : this is a back up brush I purchased because I often need a clean one when I put my makeup on, and I had just one of these. Mine is quite old, I’ve been using it for 7 years so far, but it still works great! I don’t own many brushes and I only buy high quality ones, because in the long run you’ll end up saving money: how many low cost brushes would I need in 7 years if I didn’t have Mac one? 

Next purchase is a prolongwear lip pencil in staunch stylish: it is a neutral color with a bit of orange in it, to me it’s the perfect lip liner for nude lipsticks and also for light brown with pink undertone ones. This is the first pencil I’ve got from the prolongwear line, I’ll let you know what I think about it and if it lasts longer than others.

I purchased a mono eye shadow from the limited edition called Moody blooms, and it’s called Green Room: it’s a satin and the shade is a deep teal, and of course as soon as I saw it I decided I had to have it, because I am a huge teal lover! It seems quite pigmented, and I like that the golden shimmer is subtle, it just brightens it up a bit without making it look too sparkly! It’s not too powdery and the texture is velvety ; color is buildable, all in all it seems a very nice eye shadow!

I bought a product I've been wanting to try for a while , the Lip Erase, a lip base that works as a concealer basically , because it will neutralize your lip color and it will make any lipstick shades pop! it also smoothen your skin , so it works really well when matched with matte lipsticks, it makes applying them easier and it prevents them to set into fine lines!

Now it’s time for the star of the haul..are you ready?! Ladies and gentleman let’s welcome Pure Heroine! When I first saw the publicity stunt I had mixed feeling about it, I thought it looked similar to Heroine and I wasn’t sure I needed it, but sometimes kept telling me I did and I was right to follow that something! Pure heroine is an amplified , while heroine is a matte, so they apply in a totally different way, and the finish is different as well; the color is a deep dark plum, darker than heroine and  it’s way softer in texture , it glides on your lips and there’s a shiny finish to it. It’s not as long lasting as matte ones, lasting power is around 4 hours.

Oggi andiamo a fare shopping da Mac! Vi mostrerò alcuni prodotti che ho comprato l’ultima volta che sono stata in un negozio Mac, che risale a circa un mese fa, ma vi assicuro che continuare a leggere vale la pena, specialmente perché tra gli acquisti c’è un bellissimo rossetto!

Partiamo dal mio pennello da sfumatura preferito, il Mac numero 217: questo che ho preso è per me il secondo, e ho deciso di acquistare un doppione perché spesso, quando mi trucco, mi sono trovata ad aver bisogno di un pennello da sfumatura pulito. Il primo che ho comprato ha ormai circa 7 anni, ma fa il suo lavoro benissimo! Non possiedo molti pennelli, compro solo quelli di buona qualità perché alla lunga, per la mia esperienza, si risparmia: quanti pennelli da sfumatura low cost avrei comprato in 7 anni se non avessi il numero 217?

Ho comprato una matita labbra della linea prolong wear nella tonalità stauncy stylish: è un colore neutro con un leggero sottotono aranciato, perfetto in abbinamento a rossetti dai colori neutri o nei toni caldi del marrone. È la prima matita della linea prolongwear che compro, vi saprò dire se ha una durata maggiore rispetto alle altre.

Ho acquistato un ombretto mono dell’edizione limitata Moody Blooms , nella tonalità green rooms: la finitura è satinata e il colore è un turchese intenso, e ovviamente non appena l’ho visto ho deciso che sarebbe stato mio, perché sono un’amante del turchese in tutte le sue declinazioni! L’ombretto sembra abbastanza pigmentato, mi piace che i microglitter dorati non siano eccessivi una volta applicato, ma danno solo luminosità! La consistenza è setosa e non è polveroso, il colore è modulabile e nel complesso mi sembra un ombretto valido!

ho comprato un prodotto che volevo provare da tempo, il lip erase, che è una base labbra che funziona come un correttore, infatti annulla il colore delle labbra e fa risaltare maggiormente qualsiasi rossetto andrete ad applicare!Inoltre rende le labbra più lisce, ed è quindi perfetto da usare con i rossetti opachi perchè rende l'applicazione più semplice, ed evita che vadano nelle pieghette!

Ed ora è arrivato il momento di presentarvi la star dell’haul! Siete pronti? Signore e signori, ecco a voi Pure Heroine! Non appena è uscita la campagna pubblicitaria il mio primo pensiero è stato che sembrava troppo simile ad Heroine, non ero sicura di averne veramente bisogno, ma qualcosa mi diceva che invece avrei dovuto comprarlo,ed alla fine ho seguito il mio istinto, e sono felice di averlo fatto! La finitura è amplified, quindi completamente diversa da quella di Heroine che è matte, di conseguenza anche la stesura lo è: Pure heroine scivola sulle labbra, è molto morbido ed è leggermente lucido. La tonalità è più scura e intensa di Heroine, è un viola prugna intenso. La durata è inferiore a quella dei rossetti opachi e si aggira intorno alle quattro ore.
