august empties aka all good things come to an end/ prodotti finiti di agosto

Here I am with the empties post! I ran out of quite a lot of products this month, so let’s start straight ahead without further ado!

I ran out of two body butters because I shower more than once a day, and as you can see I picked two fruity fragrances, shimmering coconut and early harvest raspberry: I like them both, they’re so summery and delicious, and shimmering coconut has also got silver shimmer to it, which makes me love it more than anything!

For the first time in my life, or maybe the second one , I tried a self tanner: I got it for free with a kiko order I placed few months ago, they sent you a self tanner for free with any order over 30 € I think, and I thought I could give it a try. I was afraid I would look patchy and streaky but luckily this product worked well, and it just gives my skin a subtle tan , really nice actually! It’s easy to apply, it’s not sticky at all and the smell is very summery and fruity, just like most sun lotions or creams!I might repurchase it, I’m thinking about it!

As usual I ran out of a shea butter jar, as I told you in my previous posts I use shea butter where my skin needs it more, elbows and heels for example, I also use it for deep conditioning my hair once every two weeks or so, and when I got red skin after epilation or on mosquitoes bites. 

I mix shea butter with several oils when I deep condition my hair, and one of the best oil I’ve ever tried is the body shop’s monoi miracle oil from the spa wisdom line : I need just a pea size of it and my hair is very soft, shiny and frizz free! It’s not too oily and it’s easy to apply, it doesn’t leave my hair greasy but it is very hydrating.

Last hair care product for this month is fructis re oxygen shampoo: I usually use fructis shampoos and they do their job without being aggressive on my hair, I think they’re good for the price range they’re in.

I ran out of essence studio nails better than gel top coat, it’s not my favourite but I’ve got few bottles left and I like it at the beginning, not so much when it thickens and it gets gloppy. You see three jars in the pic, and they were handmade pigments I bought at least 7 years ago; I used them last week and they burn on my lid, so I guessed they were expired and I threw them away. I don’t remember their expiring date exactly, it seems to me they lasted one year, and if I’m right they were way older than that! There’s also an old bronze eyeliner , probably bought at the body shop, that is completely dry and I have to say good bye to it!

I tried a face mask, it’s a the word of beauty extreme repair cc mask, described as ultimate spots control correction mask: l left it on my face for 20 minutes and then l rinsed my skin with water, and I could see it was clean, glowy and I like the result! It’s a good mask for combo to oily skin, it helps getting rid of imperfection .

Another product you often see in my empties is the body shop chamomile gentle eye makeup remover, and that’s because it’s my favourite: here you can read my full review. 

As scrub this month I tried the body shop seaweed pore cleansing facial exfoliator, for oily skin : it’s a good scrub but I find micro grains to be a bit bigger and not to cleanse deeply, that’s why I don’t think I’ll repurchase it again.

Last product is a soap bar: I shower with soap bars, and this one is a shea butter one, it makes a delicate foam, it’s got a nice smell that reminds me of clean linens, it’s not aggressive on my skin and I like it, it’s not the first time I buy it!

Eccomi qui con il post dedicato ai prodotti finiti del mese, e questo mese ne ho parecchi da farvi vedere, quindi direi di cominciare subito senza perdere tempo!

ho usato due burri corpo perché in questo periodo faccio più di una doccia al giorno, e come potete vedere ho scelto due fragranze fruttate, cocco scintillante e lampone: mi piacciono entrambe, sono perfette per l’estate, le profumazioni sono intense ma non stucchevoli, e il burro al cocco scintillante ha al suo interno tante micro particelle argentate che, ai miei occhi, lo rendono irresistibile!

per la prima volta nella mia vita, o forse per la seconda, ho provato un prodotto auto abbronzante : l’ho ricevuto in omaggio con un ordine Kiko che ho fatto qualche mese, lo inviavano con tutti gli ordini superiori a 30 euro se non sbaglio, e quindi ho pensato di usarlo e vedere che risultato si otteneva. Avevo paura che la pelle sarebbe stata a chiazze o a strisce, ma per fortuna il prodotto è facile da applicare, non è appiccicoso e non lascia assolutamente righe o macchie, anzi il risultato che ho avuto è stato un leggero colorito dorato , molto naturale, e mi è piaciuto, tanto che sto pensando di ricomprarlo! Ha anche un ottimo profumo, molto estivo e fruttato, tipico dei prodotti solari!

Come al solito ho finito un barattolo di burro di karitè che, come vi ho detto anche in altri post, uso dove la pelle ha bisogno di maggiore idratazione, ad esempio sui gomiti e sui talloni, inoltre lo mischio a uno o due oli per idratare in profondità i capelli, circa due volte al mese; è efficace anche per lenire gli arrossamenti post epilazione o il prurito causato dalle punture di zanzara.

Per l’impacco ai capelli ho usato l’olio al monoi di The Body shop, ed è uno dei migliori che io abbia mai provato: ne uso pochissimo, e lascia i capelli morbidi, lucidi ed elimina il crespo, inoltre non è particolarmente untuoso e si assorbe rapidamente.

L’ultimo prodotto per i capelli del mese è lo shampoo fructis re oxygen: io uso spesso gli shampoo fructis e mi ci trovo bene, per il prezzo che hanno sono dei prodotti validi, non sono aggressivi sulla mia pelle e puliscono i capelli a fondo.

Ho finito una bottiglia del top coat essence better than gel, che non è il mio preferito, ma ne ho diverse confezioni e poi costa così poco che vale la pena comprarlo; io mi ci trovo bene all’inizio, quando poi inizia ad addensarsi e a diventare vischioso fatico parecchio ad usarlo. Nella foto vedete tre barattolini che contenevano pigmenti fatti artigianalmente, ed ho dovuto buttarli perché li ho usati in un trucco occhi la scorsa settimana e le palpebre mi bruciavano: considerando che li ho comprati almeno 7 anni fa, e che non ricordo la data di scadenza, ma credo fosse di un anno, capite che era arrivato il momento di sbarazzarmene! C’è anche un vecchio eyeliner color bronzo, che se non ricordo male comprai al the body shop, ma ormai si è seccato ed è inutilizzabile, quindi me ne devo separare!

Ho provato una maschera viso di the world of beauty,  la beauty extreme repair cc mask  ,specifica per tenere sotto controllo le imperfezioni : l’ho lasciata in posa 20 minuti, così come scritto nelle istruzioni, e poi ho sciacquato il viso con acqua tiepida : la pelle era più luminosa, pulita e liscia, sono rimasta soddisfatta, credo sia una buona crema per pelli miste e grasse.

Un altro prodotto che vedete spesso tra i miei prodotti finiti è lo struccante occhi delicato alla camomilla di The Body Shop, di cui potete leggere la recensione completa qui: è il mio struccante occhi preferito .

Come esfoliante viso questo mese ho provato il seaweed pore cleansing facial exfoliator di the body shop, e mi sono trovata abbastanza bene anche se, secondo me, i micro granuli sono un po’ troppo grandi e non riescono a pulire ed esfoliare a fondo, motivo per cui non so se lo ricomprerò.

L’ultimo prodotto terminato è una saponetta dei provenzali al burro di karitè, che uso per la doccia: fa una schiuma delicata, ha un profumo naturale che mi ricorda quello dei panni appena lavati, non è aggressiva sulla pelle, mi piace e non è la prima volta che la uso!
