Egyptian nail art

Hi fairies,

This nail art is inspired by one of the cultures I love the most, it’s very fascinating and intriguing to me, I read many books about their traditions, history, religion and history of art, and I never get tired of finding out more! I’m talking about the ancient Egypt culture, so rich and incredibly ahead of its time! We haven’t figured out yet how they built pyramids, and that says it all!
I wanted to do a nail art inspired by their colours and shapes, and that’s what I came up with : I used gold and turquoise, two colors that immediately make us think of Cleopatra, Egypt and Pharaoh, and then I painted some of the typical Egyptian symbols, a cat that was honored as  a deity, the eye of Horus , a symbol of royal power and protection, and  of course the pyramids! Are you fascinated by their culture as well? I hope you like it!

Questa nail art è ispirata da una delle culture che amo di più, che mi affascina e mi incuriosisce tantissimo, infatti ho letto molti libri che parlano delle tradizioni, della storia, della religione e della storia dell’arte di questo popolo, e non mi stanco mai di scoprire ed imparare cose nuove! Sto parlando della cultura dell’antico Egitto, così complessa e così avanzata rispetto alle altre dello stesso periodo! Ancora non abbiamo scoperto come sono state costruite le piramidi, e questo la dice lunga!

Volevo proporre una nail art ispirata alle loro forme ed ai loro colori caratteristici, e questo è quello che ho realizzato: ho usato l’oro e il turchese, due colori che mi fanno immediatamente pensare a Cleopatra, ai Faraoni ed all’Egitto, e poi ho dipinto alcuni dei simboli più conosciuti, come il gatto, che era considerato una divinità, l’occhio di Horus, simbolo di potere reale e di protezione , ed ovviamente le piramidi, che non potevano mancare! Voi siete affascinate dall’antico egitto? È tutto per ora, spero vi piaccia!
