One product review :makeup forever aqua cream

Hi fairies,
I bought my first acqua cream full of hope, I wanted to buy 3 of them cause their colors are so awesome, but in a rare moment of sanity I went just for one, to test it and eventually buy more if I was satisfied with the result. I picked nr 25 shade Blue pastel just because it is one of my favourite colors and I often wear blue makeup, and I thought I could use it as a base.
let's see how it’s described : " acqua cream combines the highest quality pigments with mother of pearl particles to give immediate rich color pay off with a luminous finish in just one application. Its long lasting formulation will not crease or smudge under the most extreme conditions and its creamy and elastic texture allows for easy blending."

What it does: first thing I’ve noticed when l touched it’s its texture is very creamy, more than other similar products. When I say creamy you should read thick, almost too much for my likeness. You need just a tiny bit because it’s concentrated and very rich, also very pigmented. It dries quickly, so you have to work fast and blend the edges before it’s too late! Once it’s set it stays on and it is waterproof , perfect in hot summer weather. I would not recommend it for beginners nor for those that aren’t too familiar with blending, they would end up with color patches all over their lid.
Compared to Mac paint pot it’s way drier and thicker and more difficult to work with. It’s also more pigmented and it lasts longer, it really is a matter of what you’re looking for.
What I like: as l said it is very pigmented and color is intense, very rich. Color pay off is absolutely great and true to what you see in the jar; it is waterproof as it says , it doesn’t smudge,it doesn’t crease, it stays on all day and it’s actually hard to remove.

What l don’t like: plastic jar vs mac glass jar…I like glass one way more. I don’t like how thick it is, it’s better to warm it up few seconds in your hands before applying, it goes on smoothily using this trick; it dries fast which is both a pro and a con: it’s a con if you’re not as fast to blend it out the edges.

My verdict: it’s a good product, it is pigmented and it lasts forever (no pun intended!), but as I said I would recommend it only to those that are skilled and know how to work with this kind of texture. It’s perfect when weather is muggy and you sweat, or when you’re out all day: it won’t let you down!

Italian version:

Ciao fatine,
